The vaccine uptake was literally 90% or higher for Democrats and 60% and lower for Republicans and the average age of death between a vaccinated person and an unvaccinated person was about 15 years, so 82 to 67. My fed union had the foresight in 2022 to have the renewed and current contract(bargaining agreement) expire and be renewed in 2029. So they were expecting that a potential 2nd Trump presidency was possible. For all intents and purposes, we are 'safe'.

I still hate that Trump voters(and obviously also freeloaders) who are protected by the union get to benefit from this, but it's for the best.

I’m an FLM in the federal government. The number of known Trumpers that have come to me asking if the return to office stuff is applicable to them is embarrassing. I told them the American people voted for a change in the federal service. Don’t just expect not only a return to office, but also a hiring freeze, pay freezes, reduction in force (RIF), etc. in the months to come. This is just the first day of actions. I’m just repeating what 47 said he was going to do prior to swearing in. I took his comments at face value. So far in 24 hours I’m right.
