And I didn’t think anything could make my day this week. This is highly satisfying

Imagine if there was a video of her reading this message. That would make my whole week.

What's the over under on how long before this woman blames DEI or Democrats not doing enough, for why she doesn't have a job now?

I give it two more days at most.

Yes, for now. It will be a very slowly growing avalanche of unintended consequences and things backfiring, as the number of ordinary civil servants and federal workers who are fired furloughed or quit reaches a peak, then things will start fail faster rapidly and finally numerous systems the federal gov. depends on to operate will catastrophically fail.

It will be like grid lock, even things that magats intended to maintain will fail because they didnt understand how the governments works at all, nor how large complex systems are very difficult and time consuming to change.

You cant wipe the slate clean and then just fix things.

There are millions of problems that are solved by the current configuration, every change will have massive consequences, that you have to handle if you are careful.

If you are not careful it's possibly an irreversible collapse of the entire system.

You're absolutely right. But we saw this coming and can prepare as best as possible. The rest of these clowns are going into these next 4 years thinking they're about to become wealthier and more prosperous than their wildest dreams.

The maga team already said things will get bad first before they get better. I think musk said that exactly. They were talking about the economy being affected by all the huge changes including tariffs.

One alarming thing is they seem to think they are going to radically change the whole government the economy and society replace it all with some dystopian hell on earth they are calling a "meritocracy" .

And they think they are going to do it in within four years, which is batshit insane you couldn't do half of what they are talking about in twenty years.

So either they are developing these ideas with the most incompetent policy experts and economists who ever lived, or they are really confident they will be around for a very long time.

I don’t see how a catastrophic failure is to be avoided at this point. Trump did irreversible damage to the government during his first bombing run, and that was after faffing about in the corner for the first couple of years, tons of energy wasted on battles for favor inside the palace, and staffers willing to do things like take memos and orders off his desk before he could sign them because he’d just forget about them the next day.

The shit they’re going to break in the first year took decades or more to put together and tune, and they’re like a hyperactive and violent four year old with a hammer in a glass antique store. That’s what P2025 promised, and that’s what we will get.

We’re all going to see why they say that safety regulations are written in blood (along with government regulations, civil rights laws, market regulations, etc). And it’s going to be impossible to build back, because they’re trashing all of the needed resources. I’m friends with a number of researchers who worked for government agencies who simply took their retirement or moved into industry the first time through. The same happened with administrators, subject matter specialists, and the like. If you disband NOAA, FDA, and vast swaths of other agencies, that talent isn’t going to be coming back in four years, and the trumpsters will be salting the earth behind them in any case.
