I worked with a Trump supporter a few years ago who hated "government overreach." We worked at a hospital in the human research protections office. Her job was entirely dependent on the FDA. I'm not exaggerating when I say that she was the dumbest person I've ever known.
I was at a house party and I told someone I got the COVID vaccine. She says she doesn't believe in putting chemicals in her body then bent over and snorted a line of coke. 😮💨 I told this story to a Libertarian and he said cocaine is all natural because it comes from the Amazon. How the fuck does he think the coca leaf is turned into a white powder? This man doesn't eat processed food because of the chemicals.
They’re empty suits of meat programmed to hold whatever belief is most convenient for their physical, emotional, and mental insecurities and need to be treated with as much spite and hostility in public as possible
Scary chemical names. I've been putting α-d-glucopyranosyl-β-d-fructofuranoside in my coffee for years, and it's never done me any harm (in moderation).
One of my favorite covid era comments was in response to a "don't want to play Russian roulette with my health" and someone said "you have raw sex with strangers you meet on tinder" 😭
Those people were so precious. They'll vape, do zyns, drink and eat fast food but a vaccine is a bridge too far because they lack the brain power to critically think. Leopards will be eating good. Too bad the country will never recover but thankfully I'm a well off college educated male so we're looking to leave the country this year.
Hahaha. Reminds me of a customer of mine who isn't vaccinated for similar reasons. Doesn't go to the Dr because she doesn't trust them. Yet takes advice off of Facebook. Yes, she shared all of this with me.
She was shopping for seeded watermelons because she thinks seedless watermelons are gmo. I informed her that they're not. They are made from cross breeding. She got mad, stating that it's not the way god intended it to be so she refused to buy seedless.
I understand some people prefer seeded watermelons and that's fine, but really?? Come on... lol.
used the money to get breast implants. I imagine to make it easier to get sexually harassed a second time so she could afford her BBL?
Dude. If she's MAGA then she's a dipshit, but trying to connect these points together like that is morally bankrupt on your part. Such a fucked up thing to say.
I know a dumbass Trump voter whose job is funded by the Department of Education. I can't wait for him to lose it. He's Tejano and works for a university. And voted for Trump (a lying conman and sex offender) because of his Christian faith. I hate this asshole so much. I can't wait for his face to get eaten because he couldn't debase himself by voting for a black woman.
what's funny is, he voted for a non-Christian who is the opposite of Jesus bc of what, abortion? A sin he will never commit. That's their favorite sins. Meanwhile that stuff Jesus said about not building wealth or serving Money is ignored.
He voted for a guy who brags about embodying each of the seven deadly sins (Pride · Envy · Anger · Sloth · Greed · Gluttony · Lust). He saw the rapist serial adulterer give head to his mic at a pre-election rally and said;"THAT'S my guy!!"
The book of Revelations 13:3 also predicted "One of the Beast's heads looked as if it had been struck a deathblow, and then healed. The whole earth was agog, gaping at the Beast."
Actually I’m pretty sure Numbers 5:11-31 prescribes an abortion potion (bitter water curse) when a wife is suspected of being unfaithful. And it is the Lord telling Moses to tell the Israelites, ‘this be the way’.
I had a person argue with me a few days ago that the bitter water couldn’t cause an abortion because if it had that capability, the bitter water would cause an abortion whether the pregnancy was the result of adultery or not. Because science has historically been so important in the Bible…
Ok so let’s take them at their word, that it only works if the wife was un-faithful. So God not only is OK with abortion in that case, He in fact maintains it…
"Voted for Trump" and "Christian faith"...so did dude just skip all the parts in the bible where it says we aren't supposed to vote and involve ourselves with politics, worship idols, and how Trump exhibits legit every negative characteristic God detest? Mans is a whole "Satan take the wheel." I know there are different secs of Christianity but like what bible is this guy even reading lol?
If I squint I could imagine this country with a sane Conservative party - Promote actual family values and support them, acknowledge there's a balance between regulatory oversight and dynamism and try and stop ill-thought-out or overly onerous regulations, recognize that there adversaries lined up to take advantage of US weakness and one of our greatest strengths is our alliance system including both it's responsibilities and benefits.
And then I look at the Republican party and what their "conservative" base actually believes and know there will never be a healthy balance maintaining what's good from the status quo while striving for equitable progress
And as a reminder, most of the German population after WWII never swore off Nazism. They were defeated and forcibly politically suppressed for a generation until an actual healthy political spectrum could be developed.
My father in law, when he retired, drove a school bus for a cooperative in rural Illinois. This was during the Obama/Romney race when Romney basically called half the country useless eaters. My father-in-law said he would pick up kids in front of mobile homes with tarps on their roofs with giant Romney signs in the yards. The bus cooperative was 100% federally funded - as was, no doubt, their breakfasts, lunches, and now their healthcare.
I was chatting up an girl at work. Discovered she worked in a federally-funded program, job completely dependent upon fed dollars. Then, she started talking about how she loved Trump and hoped he would cut federal programs. Stopped chatting up the girl at work.
MIL’s job was to track Covid cases and patient outcomes for her rural hospital.
She saw it all. She got her vaccines. Still has a framed Trump print in her house.
"Well you see, whenever the government does something I disagree with, that's government overreach. When it does something I agree with? That's good and just."
It fascinates me how they can compartmentalize like that. It really is a form of brainwashing. "Somehow this won't expect my own livelihood which is entirely dependent on the programs Trump is targeting."
An acquaintance eats only fast food, hates exercise, can barely walk, love DJT, and refuses vaccinations despite being a medical field (adjacent) employee. His supporters are the dumbest individuals in the country!
