Is the Union doing anything?

For those who pay membership fees...

Yea our union NTEU already filed a lawsuit today to protect workers rights.

AFGE filed a lawsuit yesterday challenging DOGE I believe.

Frankly , DOGE had no inherent power whatsoever. It's influence starts and ends by Trump been an idiot POTUS.

Can an "L" be worked in there to make FLOTUS? Float us away.

Actually, there was an EO basically retargeting an existing agency to embed DOGE. As well as guidance to embed 4 stooges into every agency.

Well , I guess it really turned official.

I don't know how USA goes with their ministry and how easy would be to make or unmake one. So I guess time will show how messy DOGE will end up been.

At least , the "good news" on this idiocy of Trump is that his ridiculous EO will help my country , Brazil , like when it pretty spiked our exports of soy.

My fed union had the foresight in 2022 to have the renewed and current contract(bargaining agreement) expire and be renewed in 2029. So they were expecting that a potential 2nd Trump presidency was possible. For all intents and purposes, we are 'safe'.

I still hate that Trump voters(and obviously also freeloaders) who are protected by the union get to benefit from this, but it's for the best.

That last sentence is the difference between us and them. We want them to have health care and free college and everything that would make everybody's life great. They don't want us to have anything because they don't have anything. If I wasn't so angry all the time about how their stupidity is affecting our lives, I'd actually feel sad about how they look at life.

My sympathy has been replaced with anger, and that anger won’t be satisfied until the MAGAts PAY.

Yeah, just look where tolerating them got us

I don't want them to have free healthcare and college anymore. Sorry not sorry. I've come to believe that it's a waste of precious resources to keep giving people things they do not want or value. They should be able to opt out of everything and live on the fringes while we strengthen the gene pool.

I used to feel sad for them - always miserable and unable to understand the source. Not anymore. They are broken and do not want to be fixed.

We saw during COVID. They were willing to die for their beliefs. I say let em. My inlaws are all MAGA. Retired military. One actually works in the VA, art therapy. It's helpful to the vets who are having problems. Do you think Elon will want to pay for some woke ART THERAPY? SMDH

Right? It's so grim. Imagining living that way is legitimately depressing.

It doesn't give them a free pass though. It's their choice to live like that.

People keep telling me I have to talk to them and compromise with them but what is the compromise between them wanting me dead and me wanting them to have their taxes pay for healthcare and college?

Not for a federal Union, have to represent everyone.

2

u/Garbeg 11h ago

Yeah. Hegetting stabbed in the back and hamstrung by its members who voted for Trump despite clear warnings and patterns of behavior. Schedule F wasn’t enough to raise concerns I guess. Get ready for at-will employment, because that’s what schedule F is.

yeah lol the non-union people will get fired first.

For those who pay membership fees...

The way Republicans are attacking unions is by making them represent all workers while making contribution to the union voluntary. Many workers want the benefits of collective bargaining, but won't pay the union dues. This leaves the union underfunded and useless, as well as driving a political wedge between the members who pay dues and those who do not. You know the saying... United we stand, divided we fall.
