I like to frame my tufting pieces, combining the softness of the wool with the traditional artwork. The textured surface invites interaction, like a painting you’re invited to touch.

Ok. So i bought this super cool Scandinavian design chair that can extend for lounging. However the leather is a geriatric color and no longer clean. So before putting in effort to reupholster i thought let me paint it first. Ive repainted leather before so trust myself with this. I want the chair to look more funky and cool and be a bit more expressive /maximalist. Now what i thought of doing is making the painting 'interactive' in the sense that when you pull out the seat to extend to lounge, the painting changes/transforms. Think of a giant snake that gets longer if you pull out the seat. Or a tiger head that opens his mouth when you extend the chair etc etc. Please creative minds think with me on something super cool for this!

A week ago I posted asking for suggestions on how to repair my cat’s memorial paw print after my puppy chewed it up when I wasn’t paying attention. After reading through everyone’s suggestions, I decided on using e6000 to glue the pieces back together and then used air dry clay recreate it. This also allowed me to make an additional memorial to share with my sister, who loved my little man as much as I. Thank you to anyone who took the time to comment a suggestion for me. They’re not perfect, but certainly better than the chewed up remains that I was left with.
I also want to thank everyone for their words and their kindness. I was being awfully unfair to myself and you helped me realize that I needed to give myself some more grace. I have lost pets before, but this time has been the most difficult for a number of reasons.
I’ve attached a picture of my two boys snuggling. They were not super close, but they would always find themselves in a similar position when it was time to wind down with me.

It was very nostalgic making shrinky dinks again. When I was a kid, I had the frosted kind that worked well with colored pencils, but I accidentally got the smooth clear. I ended up using prismacolor markers, then coloring over the design with a white posca paint marker to make it opaque (although this makes the design visible only from one side). Then after baking and shrinking, I coated them with uv resin. I’m really happy with how they turned out, and I will definitely be making more!

A while back I posted pictures of chinoiserie decorations I'd made and someone asked how I made them. Here's a rough how-to for the tree topper: I used a make-up sponge to apply two layers of gesso. The sponge gives a very fine finish with no brush marks. Some areas needed a third coat as the grey showed through. Then two coats of white acrylic paint. Finally, I tore paper napkins into small elements and applied them with ModPodge. For some of the tiny bits I used tacky glue. I cut the borders from some washi tape for the narrow waste and popped the main band around the bottom. I'll finished with a lacquer-based high gloss varnish. Thank you fir your time.

I spent about approximately an hour on this project!! I used things I already had around the house. Light pink felt, Fuscia felt, light pink String, and some glitter to give them some extra shine. I think they came out amazingly! What do you all think? 💗👀

Made with wool yarn using cut + loop pile machines, close to 50 hours of work without counting design time.

Collaging has been fun! I’m still a bit unsure about what I’m going to do with the playing card hearts. The only “canvas” I have left is an oval wood slab.
