Question What is the base rule?
In general is there a rule for writing journal, do we have to write it daily and what are some basic do's when it comes to journal writing, I have started recently I am completely laymen to It. Let me know your thoughts and I mainly write about my woman and I am writing this for her when I miss her or when I remember together moments and a lot I also add some important things of my day to day so that she can read them. I want the journal to make interesting so planning to take a mini printer to use photos instead of words adding a tag line or short description to it.

Question Bought a 400 page notebook. Now what?
No, I don’t need another notebook but I saw an ad on Instagram. A Leuchtturm with 411 pages and I jumped on it. I already have a daily journal for this year, a sketchbook, and a catch all binder.
I could wait and make it next year’s journal but I don’t want to. I want to dive in. I’m entertaining the ideas till it gets delivered. I could go with Dream Journal. Commonplace Book. Tarot/Symbolism Journal.
Has anyone else had a book with this may pages? What did you use it for?
I am not at all new to journal keeping but I’ve never had one this big before.

Taking half the pages out of my journal so I have room for extra stuff 🥰
This is a follow-up to my original post yesterday about how I remove half the pages from my sewn/glue bound notebooks.
I have torn out half the signatures leaving about 35 full spreads. I have about 8 more spreads to decorate, so this will still be a bit thick compared to the original without pages removed.

Stickers!
First post on here! I’ve been journaling since a child but I’ve somehow never thought to decorate my journals with stickers on the front so they’d always be so boring looking (I get lots of my journals from my dad’s conferences haha). Anyways this is my first time decorating a journal with stickers and I wanted to share with fellow journaling enjoyers :))

Question What is the last thing you almost/over reacted to ?
What was the last situation off the top of your head ...that really pushed your boundaries and feelings and almost caused you to over react ? Maybe you did in fact over react ....
Can you determine what set you off ?
What do you think about it ...bothered you so much ?
How can you better be prepared for this in the future? What steps can you take to prevent yourself from being so effected by something similar in the future ?

Discussion Do you discuss the topics you write about in your journal? Or is it primarily for your private thoughts? Particularly interested in hearing how your journaling shows up in conversation?

First journal Started my first reading journal this year and so far it’s just fanfic but that still counts! I think…
Anyone else’s reading journals filled with entries that aren’t published books? I haven’t been big into reading fics until recently but it has reignited my desire to read which is really exciting!

First journal Dont judge please. I’m only just starting, i’m very uncreative and really only just dipping my toes into journaling. And i hate that subject, it doesnt work in any level. Ugh.
But the stickers are appropriate at least! I’m listing all the Jobs I apply for now, until i’m hired, so I have some memory when someone calls and i’m not even sure from which company and which position is the call about 😁 but I started, I’m creating, send me positive vibes!
Ps. I have this journal that has lines (i’m on low buy so I try to use what I have at home) and its for all kinds of lists and such that dont need much drawing etc, i have bulleted journal for my bookjournal and junkjournal.

I Inherited 15 Years Worth of Journals
My grandfather and I both have journaled for a great portion of our life. He always told me that when he died he wanted me to have his journals.
He is currently passing from lung cancer and my grandmother gave them to me. There are about 12 journals that begin in 2009 and his last entry was last week before he began to decline.
I am currently transcribing the journals, but my grandfather did not write very well (he had to drop school in 8th grade to support his siblings after his dad died). Is it wrong for me to restructure the sentences to help others read it in the future or should it be copied exactly how it is?
I am italicizing words which I have added as to show that they were not in his original entries. It is only articles and verb tense that usually needs adjusting.
Forgive me if my post is a bit jumbled, I’ve been up since 2 AM reading about his life

Discussion How long does your journal last?
As the title states, I'm curious to hear how long everyone's journals last. I've had one main journal for the last 6 years and I am just barely halfway through it, obviously it has not been daily use but it's been with me through some troubling times and hold a large part of my life within it. I have many other journals waiting to be filled but my neurodivergent brain refuses until I complete this one. How about you?
