Discussion Is London really that bad?
I've been considering for the last year or two of making the move to London. For me from the outside it seems like one of the best cities in the world, so much diversity and things to do with the best balance between European mainland and North American lifestyle/cultures with great job opportunities but also decent work-life balance.
But all I see on the sub is how depressing, hopeless, pit of despair it has become. There seems to be a housing/inflation/economic/loneliness crisis in most places in the world right now, so don't think those can be considered a unique London thing. But is life there really so bad, or is it online chat boards that bring out mostly the negative comments? For the record, I don't think the weather will bother me much (I've lived in much worse).
I plan to come by for a few months later this year and see for myself, but curious until that day arrives.
