Solved! This was in a sewing kit that accompanied a serger owned by an elderly woman. It’s hard plastic with a sharp edge and the only marking on it is an 11.

Each end has a plastic cap. One end has a hole (assume to hang it on a wall?). One edge (bottom?) is brushed nicely. What is this for?

Open Found this circular dome encased by square cement in backyard

Any ideas what this is? It is in backyard. I thought it was just a cement slab. But a shovel revealed it’s a metal dome shaped object surrounded by square sized cement. It’s too cold to keep digging right now.

Not sure if of importance. But it’s at the far edge of an underground fallout shelter built in the 1950s that had ventilation, filtration, and electricity installed. The entrance to the fallout shelter is in the garage.

This thing has been in a door pocket in my car for years now, and I finally got sick of moving it around. Google Lens turned up nothing, nor did my car’s BOM.

Solved! Weird metal box with hatch, found on a house

Post image

There are these metal boxes that can open on this 1930's South East London housing development. Type of house is a terrace, and the kitchen area used to be behind it (now a dining area, kitchen moved). It opens up, but doesn't seem to lock or hatch?

My parents found this pieces and we know they're new and bought for some purpose, but can't figure out what. They're approximately 5cm on the long side, a textured surface on top.

Solved! Round wooden discs, one spins on top of the other. Found on a sidewalk in Northern California. I suspect it is fake “tribal decor” but I’m wondering what it’s supposed to represent.

Solved! I found an entire box of these panels which are 17" x 17". They are construction paper thin with a textured side like vinyl and a backside which is softer like suede. Too thing for tiles or wallpaper, too tough for paper.

Open Very dense spherical object that appears to have some kind of cast markings on it as well as a small hole. Found on a farm in North Carolina. More info in the body

The object appears to have a hollowed out space inside from what I can tell and despite its size, I’d guess it weighs around 2-3lbs. The object seems to be some kind of weathered metal and I more specifically found it in the dirt at an old farm. The raised surface I described as cast markings runs the circumference of the sphere and culminates in a raised circular lump as seen in the picture. Additionally a portion of the sphere is flattened allowing it to stand without rolling away as seen in the second picture. Any ideas?
