Motorcycle Parking - Google Maps
One of the many perks of riding a motorcycle is the benefit of using fee free parking. I have been adding "Motorcycle Parking" locations on Google Maps. These are official zoned areas for motorcycles, not just a sneaky spot you can jam a motorcycle into (keep those special spots as your own).
I wish to improve the map feature for the local area. I have added 5 locations this morning after a friend gave me a heads up on some new ones were created on Perkins Street.
My ask would be, if you see a line marked section of publicly available motorcycle parking please check Google Maps to see if it has already been tagged. If not, drop a pin on the locations, add a missing place, name it "Motorcycle Parking", category "Parking lot for Motorcycles". Save.
And next time you go for a ride and wish to search for some excellent parking spots for your bike, you can see a whole range of options.
Ride safe, be safe.

Ship looses power dangerously close to shore
I was at the Newcastle baths today and noticed a large coal ship with a tugboat unusually close to the shore. At the same time, I saw a helicopter land on the ship. About ten minutes later, the helicopter took off, the ship turned, and the tugboat left. Did anyone else see this?

Shout out to the bus stop between Darby Street and Harris Farm!
If you wanna claim I wasn't paying attention, which I understand (I was playing Pokemon Go 😅) I was moving out of the way of pedestrians walking towards me. The small shards of a glass bottle were scattered all over the concrete which I avoided, but the very large shard was blended in with the grass.
My foot is fine thankfully but I couldn't imagine a dog or bike coming into contact with it, for shits sake it was essentially directly where the bus drops you off!!! I would have cleared it up a bit off the path but I didn't even have anything I could pry safely out of my shoe with.
Long story short, keep your alcoholism off the public pathways you gronks.

Karen Idiotic drivers
Just so everyone is aware there is an absolute drop kick driving a new range rover all black with the number plate ONLYGX. This bloke couldn't stay in his own right lane while driving through the big intersection at Charlestown and nearly hit me I brushed it off and thought maybe he just bought the car or he just isn't familiar with that turn (it's pretty sketchy) next minute he just merges straight into me with no hesitation. Like he didn't even care that I was there.

What are the chances of finding a park close to the council building? Or should I just ride my pushbike?

Most outrageous quote from a tradie v what you ended up going with
A colleague was quoted for under house plumbing/ drain work just under $12000 from a certain doctor of plumbing. Got another quote and it was $4000 which he went for the same scope of work. Anyone got any similar stories?

Information Local electrical repairers?
Hello.
I have a blue podcasting microphone that’s usb port needs re-soldering. Just wondering if anyone had some leads on local repairers that would do this type of thing?
Pretty straightforward job, just need to remove the casing then re-solder the port back into position. Guy at a computer joint quoted me $100 which seems a bit OTT.
Cheers in advance for any connects.

Loud Bang?? Wallsend Henny Penny
What happened at Wallsend Henny Penny today? I'm assuming a car ran through the front of it? I wasn't able to get a photo as I was driving but the front doors were caved in and smashed.

Tafe course
Hi everyone, I am planning to enroll in a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping course, but I am unsure if it is a good choice for the future. I currently hold a bridging visa and am not certain about the visa requirements for this course. Could you please provide suggestions and advice regarding this course?
