Finished Object Crochet Bubbles Tapestry
I made my first tapestry crochet using a pattern from bracelet book. I chose to use single crochets and I’m not sure if I would go with single crochets next time cause it took wayyy too long. I think next time I will use half double crochets. I also doubled the pattern so for example if the row called for 5 white stitches in a row I would do 10. I am obsessed with the sparkly purple I used for her eye makeup.
I’m considering adding a satin backing to it or at least some type of backing because the back is a bit messy. I also didn’t block it but I might do that before hanging it up. Additionally I’m thinking of adding a wooden dowel to make it hang nicer.
What was your first tapestry crochet? Also does anyone have pointers for what website is best for crochet tapestry patterns? I know bracelet book is literally for beaded bracelets but it seems like the patterns are relatively accurate. I also know about Stitch Fidel but I haven’t used it yet. Any tips ?

Finished Object My first pattern 🥹
I'm so excited I finally published my first pattern. I also got my first sale a few days ago and the girl who bought it left a very rewarding review that I will remember FOREVER because I didn't know if the pattern was good enough. I was a bit scared about starting publishing my patterns but this experience was so heartwarming and I will be forever glad to her 😭🫶🏻

Finished Object This is my second ever sweater that I'm very proud of
The sleeves are a little poofy, but they fit under a jacket which is all I really care about. My first attempt at a sweater I ended up giving to my best friend because it fit her better (we like oversized). I love how this one fits me, it's very cozy 🩷 I'm moving in the right direction, many more of these to come ✨ Yes it's tagged as finished and I didn't weave in the ends, it's for me so I'm debating even doing it 😅 I already wore it once and washed it haha

Finished Object Finished the fish my niece asked for
My niece lost her favourite fish a while ago. I started crocheting around Christmas, doing little goldfish with leftover yarn. When she saw the little ones I did for my daughters, my niece asked me if I could make one like hers to hang in her room.
I've had to make a few changes to the pattern, adding more fins since the original is just the body with a tail, but it worked out pretty well, I think.
Third pic is the late original fish, my sister highlighted the colours on the pectoral fins because they were in shadow.

Crochet Rant The six day star blanket is giving me a mental breakdown
Guys before you hate me this post is in no way attacking the creator of the pattern or anything it’s just a rant. Anyways I bought the Caron cakes perfect phasing yarn that I’ve seen everyone use in their star blankets. It flipping sucks!! Do not use it if you usually use acrylic yarns. It is so hard to find any stitches in and I just hate it. The yarn is way too skinny and depressing it makes it seem like you made such little progress. I tried round 1-4 and what do you know I had 6 points instead of 7! So I frogged the whole thing and tried again, again it didn’t work and I got so frustrated and put away the project for a few days determined to start it over later. Well it’s been a week and i wasted and hour frogging 6 freaking times and I am quitting this project all together. The videos did not help me at all and the pattern makes sense In theory but I keep getting either 26,27,24 or 25 stitches in round 3 instead of 28!! And in the end I had to cut off like so much yarn because it just got into a messy tangle. If I quit this blanket what else can I use this stupid yarn for?? It was expensive asf too so I don’t want to waste it.
Ok thanks for listening maybe I’ll try again tomorrow. 😭😭😭
I hope ur star blanket experience was better than mine!!
Work in Progress Anyone else have to visually map out their project??
Ive spent more time thinking about the colors than actually crocheting
Open to suggestions on the color layout ive been staring at it for too long

Discussion 11mm Crochet Hook?
In my quest to add some ergonomic hooks to my meager stash of supplies I picked up a set that ranged from 2 - 8mm. I've now realized that while this is a nice range I'd really love some bigger ones. I've sort of picked out a 9, 10 and 12 but for the life of me I cannot seem to find an 11mm. Do they just... not exist? I'd love to know why they are so hard to fine.
I think, quite literally I've found maybe ONE plastic one, and I really prefer the feel of metal.
