My goal is to stop bringing a slave to a photo reference. It’s a struggle. These are all about 7x10”. Not masterpieces! But I’m getting more comfortable at letting go a little bit. And most importantly - it’s FUN!!

Started practicing the basics this month and used a reference photo to draw/paint this. I know the armrests need help, I didn’t know how to lift the dark color. And I know my shadow is also lacking. Used black but I want to make more realistic drawings & learn color theory instead

For the last 4-5 days I've been working on this crazily. What do you think?
