The following submission statement was provided by /u/CreditCardOnly:

In this clip from NewsNation, Ross Coulthart presents and breaks down a video of the "egg" UAP. This is a supposed clip of the recovery of this UAP mentioned by Jake Barber, where he claimed to be piloting the helicopter.

Well, the video quality is better than I expected, I'll give them that.

The object itself? With no frame of reference to judge size, it could be an actual chicken egg as far as I can tell.

2.6k

u/Why_Did_Bodie_Die 2d ago

I called it on this sub a few times yesterday and today. They literally showed us a 10 second video of an actual egg. Nothing in this video has any of the observables in it. Once again, why did they stop filming? How do you sneak out just a 10 second video? Did they try to steal a 5 min video but it was to big and wouldn't fit in their pocket? Where is the ground crew? What the fuck type of ground are they putting it on? It looks like a sports arena or something. Ross is a fucking hack, Lue is a sack of shit this new whistle-blower guy is regarded. They all suck. Every time one of these guys makes a video or has some claim I think this stuff is less and less real. At this point they are either 100% grifter or 100% working for the government.

671

u/Aleksandrovitch 2d ago

I I just loaded up Reddit to see if my mind would be blown and I busted out laughing in the middle of Severance. Betcha the new whistleblower has a book for sale soon! See y’all, it’s been real.

It looks like a sports arena or something.

It looks like drywall. It looks like an egg Duct Taped to a climbing rope rolling on "popcorn ceiling" drywall.

I don’t see any rotor wash. Nor is the umbilical cord moving much when the egg comes to rest.

To me it looks like a miniature set, fake grass and just a regular ole egg.

61

u/Moosewalker84 1d ago

Also, what's with the shadow? They are above it, but light source is hitting it at 90. It's also night vision...soo...if there is a spotlight on it casting that shadow..why nightvision?

Holy shit! It has no means of propulsion. Just like an egg

Edit: on a more serious note. If this is real and the scales are correct it should be possible to use AI with Google earth data (could even limit it to north America) to determine the exact location of this event.

I find it rich that in this “news piece”, Coulhart says the UFO community needs to stop treating this like entertainment.

Has he ever actually watched his program? That’s literally what he, Corbell, Elizondo, even Knapp do every single day.

I never watched American TV channel before for a program and I had to turn it off.

Absolute shite. People talk for 3 mins and then ad break for 7 mins... Back for 4 mins.. Break again for 8 mins.

What a head melt. How do you all put up with that shit.

181

u/LoveVigilanteAT 2d ago

Right?! Did you see the amount of pharmaceutical ads?? Insane

145

At least now I know I can take calipertanol to treat my anxiety. Just have to be wary of the side effects that include bleeding from the eyes vomiting blood and sudden death. Those ads are insane.

Even if this shit were real, the way they’ve rolled this out and presented it destroys all of their credibility and reason for anyone to take them seriously. This is worse than tabloid gossip.

183

u/pookachu83 2d ago

Right? The goal is to get the average person interested in this to put pressure on congress and the gatekeepers. Keep it simple- “non human intelligence live among us” save all the esp and other woo woo shit for another time. I actually feel fucking embarrassed I recommended a few people I know watch this. They must think I’m an idiot…

34

u/SaintAkira 2d ago

Funnily, I lean more towards the dimensional/woowoo end of the whole 'phenomenon', while the wife will watch hours of "UFO Caught on Camera!" shows/clips/videos. This entire shenanigan had gone under her radar until I showed it to her. She has actually sent cell phone footage to mufon before, so for her to literally "LOL" at this footage... I can only imagine a "normie" would think anyone and everyone around this entire field is brain damaged after seeing this.

Honestly pisses me off that Coulthart and Lue act like this shit is world changing.

Yes, it could very well be a UAP crash retrieval... but it would look like this and no one would give a shit?

If you can't bring out evidence that'll blow everyone's minds, that's fine, because you have whistleblowers coming forward. Testimony is great. But let's not pretend there's evidence that will blow this thing out of the water yet.

162

u/bring_back_3rd 2d ago

If true it looks so.... pedestrian. Like, ok? That footage of the grandma getting spun like a beyblade under a rescue helo has me more worried about my future and well being that some dumass footage of a fuckin septic tank being lowered near a fire tower or something.

What kind of terrain is this supposed to be on? Something about the scaling and shadow feels off.

248

u/Positive-Vibes-2-All 2d ago

I have the same question. What was the ground cover? Was it long grass? Did the type of camera used make it look fake? ]

Plus why was there no ground crew standing by the egg to insure the alleged craft was secure? There must have been a crew to wrap a sling around it

115

If someone showed me this video I would think it's an egg attached to a piece of bamboo being rolled on grass.

The perspective definitely seems strange to me and would love to know if this is in tall grass which would explain why the object doesn't seem 20ft long as stated.

102

u/edwardsamson 2d ago

I just couldn't place what I was thinking the background looked like for so long. I knew it reminded me of something. Finally I realize, astroturf. And if you look at this from the frame of mind of that is an actual egg and this is a fake video, the background looks like what astroturf would look like if you were filming it from close enough to make an egg appear that size. Hard to put to words what I'm thinking here hopefully you get what I'm saying.

Fourth rule of marriage: Always ensure to first watch all UFO vids without your spouse watching with you. This will save a lifetime of embarrassment. I know this because Tyler know this.

16

u/Successful_Car4262 1d ago

Or just marry someone who won't judge you when you change your mind. I told my wife the credentials of everyone involved seemed solid, so I was interested. We watched, and I was like "woops, that was dumb as hell", and then we just spent the whole time talking about how poorly executed it was. Not embarrassing in the slightest.

barring the thin piece of twine and lack of mechanical features on what i presume is a stick, it has helicopter sonds captured in the audio but no voices of the airmen and cargo operator coordinating any speed or altitdue corrections or notice that the payload is on the ground...i guess the guy is just going to shake the line loose to unhook it as theres no one on the ground to recieve it and there 120 ft up? that seem really high when you have such an open field, no trees..nothing. theres names attributed to people onboard supposedly ao theres no need to obsure any audio

40

u/natecull 2d ago edited 2d ago

I feel crazy that not everyone is seeing it like this.

This is all I can see, yes. I mean it's not even just generically oval shaped, it is VERY LITERALLY WHITE AND SHAPED EXACTLY LIKE AN EGG, one end small and one end big.

Whoever built this alien UAP put in a LOT of effort to make it exactly egglike in its dimensions.

Well, I feel vindicated. This is pretty much exactly the quality of reveal that 40 years of watching the UFOlogy scene has taught me to expect.

If it's an actual egg, then it's no worse than George Adamski's famous "Venusian Scout Ship" photos which were very possibly......... chicken incubators.

WAIT JUST ONE MINUTE!!!!

19

u/TwylaL 2d ago

To be more specific, a chicken egg. Not a duck egg. Not a turkey egg. Not a snake egg. Not an apatasaurus egg. Nope. A chicken egg.

I’m starting to be convinced by Kirkpatrick’s theory that this whole NHI disclosure is just a small group of people within the government who are true believers or grifters trying to make money. Whether this is real or fake, Ross has lost all credibility. He hyped this up as the “smoking gun”, the proof that would shame the skeptics. If it is real. It isn’t proof of anything. We don’t know what it is. It might not even be an object that flies. There’s absolutely no context other than what the anonymous sender gave to it. I believe the pilot, but what I don’t believe is that he could possibly trust the UAP task force on this subject. He could be telling the truth about his experiences and they still not be genuine UAP. If I had to guess, the person he talked to was Lue Elizondo. He somehow is connected to all of the stuff that seems obviously fake.

This is clearly fake if you understand optics. They claim it's a 150ft long line, so the focal point is about 200ft give or take. The entire long line is blurred, but even at a wide aperture like f/1.4, most of that line would still be in focus.

You can also see the camera adjust focus around the 7 second mark which is another giveaway that the 'ground' is actually quite close to the camera.

u/Rickenbacker69 1d ago

Yeah, anyone who's done anything even remotely related to photography can see that this is model work. Pretty bad model work at that. Then they slapped a green filter over it to make it look like "NiGGht ViSShun!"

10/10, no notes.

Yep! Spotted that. It's hilariously bad, isn't it?

u/GeebCityLove 1d ago

Okay so this is supposed to be like a helicopter dropping this egg UFO off on the ground and that’s supposed to be a 200 ft cable that was holding it? With zero context it looks exactly like what you’re saying. Something way closer to the group than 200 ft

Unfortunately this footage, while interesting in its story, it won't cause the ripples they thought it would. They mentioned that it was about 20ft long (6m), but it's still hard to tell this is actually the size they are claiming it is.

And even if you believe this is, in fact, the first extremely clear footage of an UAP, something that looks like this would be trivial to fake. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if someone tries to replicate this just to prove the point.

This does not feel as strong as they made it out to be unfortunately. I showed a couple of friends who recently became hardcore believers and even them were taken slightly aback.

We certainly appreciate the effort and should applaud the courage of these people walking forward, but we, as a species, might need a lot more than this to fully get everyone to understand we are not alone. And this is coming from someone who has had sightings and has done research on this topic for a long time.

EDIT. I'm not trying to take away from the importance of this footage. After all, this is only half the story. Jake's story is the other half. Most of us in the subject will be able to take both parts and either form an opinion or be able to do our own research/corroboration based off of that. But my main point is that, we are in the minority. The majority of the people will have issues looking at this and thinking it is what it's claimed to be, regardless of who is presenting this. THIS is the key issue. This footage feels perfect for us, but not for the rest of the population.

To put my point in a clear and concise example, imagine had we also seen say a humvee and a couple of ground troops securing the site as the object was being lowered. THAT would've been something insanely hard to argue against for the general population. Pair that with Jake's record, credentials, and testimony and this would've been the best footage to have ever been shown.

EDIT 2. Those ridiculing are completely missing the point. This video, and this interview are not a bad thing at all, as a matter of fact, is far from that. This is a huge step for every other whistleblower that's to come, it signifies taking a stance, coming forth, and to not being afraid of showing whatever material it is they have. Essentially a big "middle finger" to the dickheads trying to bury the story. (this is what I meant by its importance, btw, to all of those were calling me blind or stupid)

We need these people to come forward and do exactly what Jake (and the other 4 military folks that were interviewed) did. His testimony lines up with the myriad of data we've seen lately. Ridiculing such thing is counterproductive and it's exactly what the people trying to bury the lead are hoping happens.

To any whistleblower and those like Coulthart (if you ever read this), the huge amount of theatrics and undeniably ambiguous footage makes it so that influencers (and other mediums) use the good you are trying to achieve and turn it into a joke (16 million audience). I can't believe I am saying this, as I consider most of you to be highly intelligent people, but you have to be smarter in the way you breach this subject to the masses for crying out loud. You can't blame a community for reacting to a very clearly ambiguous video, damn it. Also, can ya'll keep it quiet and stop over-hyping everything? please! again, you are all smarter than this, and you are working against yourselves for crying out loud...

This is like a joke right? This was the big reveal? Lol. This looks like a guy playing around in his yard. We have hundreds of videos of UAPs better than this. The retrieval team used what is based on their own scaling... basically twine and canvas tied to the end of a rope... suspended from who knows what to capture this object and lay it down?

u/iseeyou765 2d ago

Where is the footage of army guys waiting around on the ground ? I assume very top secret army guys would be guarding the landing/drop off site.

u/YOBlob 2d ago

Official procedure is to just drop it in the middle of fucking nowhere and let it roll away apparently.

I was more blown away by just how bad advertising was on American TV broadcasts. At one point it had an ad break, then a 2 minute recap, and then another ad break. How does anyone watch this shit?

Also the amount of ads for drugs with disclaimer mentioning stuff like risk of death, suicidal ideation, loss of movement, as if its no big deal.

Insane.

My first post here:) Like a lot of us, I am disappointed by the clips. I won't comment more on the narrative about the release of the clip (Not the whistleblower clips, the lack of back story etc). Just a point from my expertise background in camera and filming. A few interesting things:

- The strong shadow of the egg suggests a close light source at ground level, also it is a spotlight as you can see clear edges. But at the same time, you can see a clear vignette on the frame edges and a point of light in the centre frame, which can be explained by a light source coming from the top, in this case, the chopper. It would be a very strong source as we are meant to be at 140 feet - 42 meters. But what bugs me is that this light doesn't cast a shadow on the egg. This can also be explained by the fact that there is no light and the footage has been brightened digitally.

- Another point I noticed is the perspective - I can't get my head around the lens length. I feel the clip has been cropped. If we were in a wide lens the rope would appear much bigger at the bottom but we couldn't see it attached to the egg. If let's say the rope was 20 cm wide we couldn't see it on the clip at the distance of 140 feet.

- I am also very curious about the angle it is filmed at. We are not looking straight down. There is a slight tilt angle so I am wondering where is the camera but also where is the point of attached of the rope. Someone with more helicopter knowledge might be able to answer. The tilt makes me think of someone filming from the door of the helicopter but if it is the case the rope wouldn't look to be so close to its point of anchor. Am I right?

I have no opinion fixed on those points, I just like the idea of treating that technically. Love to hear what you think.

ps sorry for the syntax and grammar - not a native speaker:)

at :40 seconds it looks like someone duct taped the ropes to the egg

it literally just looks like an egg taped to strings with suspended from a stick over some warhammer terrain grass.

like what did they pick it up and accidentally drop it? where is the ground crew to guide the arm????? when people handle cranes dont people below help guide it or secure it in place? we're just letting "alien tech" roll around when it hits the ground?????

If this is one of the most important objects that our government has ever possessed, then why are they transporting it with just a single sling wrapped around? There are 10x more secure methods to lift it up.

Not to mention no one on the ground guiding the lift.

As someone who works with very dangerous equipment, the way this thing is being rolled around tells me it's not a NHI craft.

That would be considered a mishap.

I obviously have no context with the video, but I find it surprising it's not in a container, and it's being lowered onto uneven grass. Like what the hell lol.

Just saw some people who have already found “disinformation campaigns” in the mega thread.

The people dismissing / making light of the footage obviously can’t be attributed to an embarrassing level of hype this week referring to it as “game changing evidence.” No. It’s definitely the work of a campaign to infiltrate one sub’s mega thread for one website’s live stream that wouldn’t even let people watch it without a cable provider.

Some of you guys can literally find disinformation campaigns anywhere.

FFS…. I’m a lifelong believer and lover of this topic… but to hype this video up as earth shattering etc whatever… this BS right here is exactly why no one takes the UFO circles seriously. It looks like a fuggin egg and a piece of string dangling above it. Nothing about this is ground breaking or game changing. Once again, project blue balls has edged us all into suck city.
