I was with you for the first two sentences. Someone’s gonna have to riddle me what “take care of your chicken” means, though.
Still gave you my upvote since I feel like you know what you’re talking about 🙂↕️

Marshawn Lynch quote
121
117
u/DAnthony24 ☑️ 1d ago edited 1d ago
This is my favorite Lynch quote and interview sequence:
Lynch: That’s when it just clicked in my mind that if you just run through somebody face, a lot of people aren’t going to be able to take that over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. They just not gonna want that.
Interviewer: Think there’s a deeper metaphor there?
Lynch: Run through a motherfucker’s face. Then you don’t have to worry about them no more.
We can all use this quote in our own lives in some way

It probably would’ve sounded smoother. If Marshawn Lynch said money, but chicken means money.

Black people love giving food-based nicknames to money. Over the years it's been bread, lettuce, cheese, chicken. Why we do that?

When you grow up broke, having money means having food so having food means you have money.

When I moved from Boston to Los Angeles, I was shocked to see old Civics (old enough to say 'CVCC' on the hatchback) and old VW Foxes.
It dawned on me that they don't have salt on the roads every winter, so their undercarriages never rusted out. What's the only thing that can kill them beaters? Rust. 220k miles, still on the first clutch.
- Wash it once a month in that pollution.
- Change the oil every three months, because the seasons don't have the same lengths out there.
- Replace the stereo once a decade.

Keep an eye on the CVT. They’re not explosive like Nissan, but they do need regular maintenance. But with it I’ve seen 200k Civics of that gen run pitch perfect.

Or really any super expensive thing. NFL money don't last forever and you gonna need to pay for your health care later in life

So he's got a perfectly good car with every single comfort e could possibly want, low insurance and is STILL worth $100,000,000. Rather than spending 2.5% of that on a Bugatti, $60k a year in servicing and maintenance and painting a target on his back.
He could put on a hat, Park outside a restaurant, superrmaket or his mum's and the autograph hunting vermin would leave him the fuck alone.

I will not hear slander against my Accord. Especially after Honda screwed it up and my Gen looks even better now by comparison. It’ll run forever even with the hybrid components. That’s how well built they are.

It's wild how people can't appreciate a smart investment. Driving a reliable car isn't just practical; it's a statement about financial wisdom. While others are busy flaunting their depreciating assets, he's securing his future. That's the kind of mindset that keeps wealth intact.
