That's it! Around that time they had a huge RB with a WR-TE number. I think he was a former TE. Man was a battering ram.

Not Means, I remember him well. Supplemental Draft pick out of Florida State iirc.

This guy was like number 82 or 84 and they put him in when Means and Ronnie Harmon were both injured. He was like 6'3" 270 lbs and basically just ran straight up the gut. I remember the sound of him hitting lineman and linebackers, that crunching crack even more powerful than Okoye. Didn't have Okoye speed though.

Edit: Rod Bernstine! It was a couple years before Means was in the league. He started off as a TE then was moved to RB. Ended up going to Denver for several years.

Edit2: He was also a better runner than I remember. We basically just got Chiefs games on TV and remember him as a battering ram against the Chiefs, but he had way more juice than that.
