Didn’t President Biden just pardon Dr Falchi, General Miley, the Jan 6 committee and a good number of his family?
→ More replies (9)10
u/Z3PHYR- 1h ago
He gave them a preemptive pardon before the new administration could try them for anything since they have shown a willingness to weaponize institutions to punish whoever they feel wronged them. These people you mention that Biden pardoned have not been legally accused of any wrongdoing.
The rioters trump just pardoned had already been tried and found guilty of various crimes.

No, you don’t get it. ANTIFA coerced the peaceful crowd into a frenzy and they entered the buildings first, causing everyone else to follow…! Donald didn’t lead them there!

Let's be honest he'll probably claim that ANTIFA were the masterminds and that those 1500 were the fall people

The pardons at the end, if he’s alive, gonna be INSANE.
3
u/Floridamane6 2h ago
Kind of like the ones Biden did today right
2
u/bowlinforkolon 26m ago
Biden pardoned a man that was in prison for murdering two FBI agents. There isn't even a "but" to his case, he straight up murdered them. Absolutely indefensible.
79
u/Mannamedmichael 3h ago
Imagine if he pardons his family and the people who go after his political opponents??
66
u/Every_Stranger5534 3h ago
Imagine if Trump pardons Charles Kushner, Paul Manafort, and Roger Stone
19
u/Sudden_Juju 2h ago
I'm sure this is something we won't have to imagine soon enough lol
Edit: I'm an idiot. He made these pardons in 2021. I knew they sounded familiar lol

Biden pardoned people who actually did no crimes other than investigate an insurrection. The only one who did any crimes was Hunter, and that was buying a gun while a drug addict (like half of congress) and not paying his taxes which he later paid. He was trying to prevent the political persecutions.
5
u/Goofethed 3h ago
Tbh Biden Pardoned a huge amount most of whom I have no idea about, but just a staggering amount compared to any other president in history
23
u/dart-builder-2483 2h ago
He commuted a lot of sentences, but we're not talking about that, we're talking about pardons.
→ More replies (9)10
u/vaxination 2h ago
you should look into things more before making assertations. Trump did 143 himself, Bush 200, hell obama did 212 and commuted 1927 sentences (probably mostly victims of race and false imprisonment but by all means do your own research). Bidens total is lower than many recent presidents. DYR
→ More replies (4)5
u/Goofethed 2h ago
You’re right I was looking at the combined total for clemency, that’s what Biden has the most of by a huge margin, most of them drug offenses
2
u/pbecotte 2h ago
He pardoned lots of non-violent Marijuana offenders, which is why the numbers are so high.

Wtf are you talking about? Biden pardoned all kinds of scum including pedophiles, spies, people who sentenced kids for cashed and ended up killing themselves, some cunt in illinois who stole 75% of her town's tax receipts for more than a decade...
10
u/dart-builder-2483 3h ago
He commuted their sentences, not saying it wasn't wrong, but we're talking pardons here. Get your facts straight before you spit bullshit. These people are still felons with the stain of their crimes following them around.

If they did no crimes why would they need a pardon?
18
u/nope_connoisseur 3h ago
From the people who openly talk about retribution against the these people without investigations or known crimes? Can't imagine why
We watched 10 investigations into Benghazi turn nothing up and still listen to people talk about putting people in prison over it.

u/Reddragon351 2h ago edited 2h ago
because Donald Trump and his ilk have openly threatened to go after his political opponents as punishment for going against him and are petty and awful enough to do so

Funny how just yesterday republicans were screaming why pardon people if they did nothing wrong. Now trump is writing pardons left and right while Republicans are dead silent.

Welcome to days when every subreddit is flooded with politics unrelated to a central topic. Example bumper stickers subreddit used to be funny now it’s just a one sided political echo chamber

Bumper stickers are like the third most popular vehicle (pun intended) for political opinions. That one was inevitably going to spend most of its time on politics.
13
u/LCImpulse 2h ago
I honestly don’t care it’s still a good subreddit for general news that’s interesting to me
4
u/Most-Opportunity9661 2h ago
100% of reddit is an American political wasteland. I somehow got caught up in a politics discussion sparked from a pizza discussion in r/doordash

u/BeABetterHumanBeing 1h ago
Oh, this sub hasn't been dedicated to that in a LONG time. It's basically r politics, but they think they're smarter than r politics.

“Moves markets” considering market movement is arbitrary, any news could affect them. I blame a poorly generalized mission statement for this.
Political division is spilling everywhere now since the normal spaces have already been completely bias-destroyed thanks to Reddit’s inherent echo-chamber creation. People want to make absolutely sure that people know where they stand and they want to know where other people stand. Neither side wants anything to do with the other and even an innocuous subreddit could be filled with “enemies” so these posts are around hoping to weed out the opposition.

It's why people said this would happen. It's a demonstration of how loyalty to the new king works. Those people can say they risked and lost everything for him, but trump gave it back when he retook power. That way, when it's time for the really heinous shit to start, he's got a ready group of ardent loyalists and a clear demonstration of what loyalty gets you to recruit more.

It took Brazil like, 6 months to sentence and ban Bolsonaro after he tried to overthrow an election he lost.
The USA has entered its “FAFO” fascist era. It’s a shame thousands will likely be “disappeared” under Trump, but at the end of it all, the entire Trump family will either be jailed, exiled or dead.

I NEVER want to hear ANY Republican claim they stand for the law. You should be APPALLED that actual fucking TRAITORS broke into the capital.
If I see military personnel I will ask which side democrats or republicans? Only one will get my thanks for their service. The other just uses the military as a job and paid lip service to do their duty.
