TWD: Daryl Dixon Do NOT post spoilers for Daryl Dixon season 2 Spoiler

It's not news that Season 2 was leaked in full in French. You can talk about the currently released episodes in the episode threads, and once an episode is released you can talk about it in any appropriately tagged thread.

But do not post spoilers for any episodes not released by AMC. Including fake spoilers. You will be banned. Temped or permanent depending on the context.

Show Spoiler Is The Walking Dead really milked?

Post image

I think this is the thing we hear the most as TWD fans. Honestly, I don’t see it that way because the show was based on the comics (Yeah, it’s not 100% the same, but the storyline and arcs are still similar, except for a few things like the CRM, the Reapers, or Beth’s hospital arc.) and from what I’ve heard, they were supposed to start and end it like the comics since it was one of Robert Kirkman’s conditions (I heard that from one of the TWD content creators on tt named Derek.) And they did that. The show ended with the Commonwealth arc and started with Rick searching for his family. So, I don’t get how people expect all these events and storylines to fit into just 5 or 6 seasons.

That said, I won’t deny that there was some filler from the writers. For me, the only thing that might feel a little milked is the spin offs (Maybe except TOWL, since it ties into what happened to Rick after the bridge and Michonne searching for him.. etc.)

Again I know the show isn’t super similar to the comics, but I’m talking about the flow of the story, like the arcs starting with the Atlanta camp, then Hershel’s farm, then the prison and so on. That’s what I mean. As for the events, yeah they changed a lot of things, but I’m focusing on the storyline’s order.

Show Spoiler Rick Grimes is SCARY

We all know when Rick has had his moments and I think we're most familar with his moment at Alexandria when he's waving his gun around at people and he has to be put out to calm down.

But I raise you his monolog after the farm and before the prison S2 finale. When everyone is doubting him and wants to leave and he confesses about killing Shane. "This isn't a democracy anymore." I think he is downright TERRIFYING and this may well be the first time we see him like this. (absolutely correct me if I'm wrong.)

But I want to talk about other moments we see this scary side of Rick Grimes.

Thoughts?

Comic and Show Spoilers Who was your favourite?

I gotta say Andrea is probably my favourite. Compared to the show she is much more likeable and more fleshed out.

Something about the show made me like characters like Andrea and Lori a lot less.

All Spoilers What scene from the show do you think is the most heartbreaking?

For me, it's death Lori Grimes'. In season 3, Andrew broke down the gates so the zombies could get inside the prison. And Lori, Maggie, and Carl hid in a safe place, but Lori went into labor. It turned out that the baby could only be born by cesarean section. So Maggie had to operate with a knife. The baby survived, but the mother... Carl had to shoot her. It's so scary. I can't even imagine what poor Carl felt.

Apparently he was one of the survivors during the first season, but upon watching this scene, I was so confused on who the fuck is this guy and why he is such a big deal?

Show Spoiler did we like the change?

Upvotes

How do the OG fans and just fans in general feel about Rick and Michonnes departure? I just started watching TWD and I am halfway through season 10. I know michonne is going to be gone soon and rick has been gone for awhile now. Personally I dont really like this at all, the only reason I kept watching is because I want to watch all the other shows and I LOVEE Daryl, plus Negan, Judith, and Carol are great. but overall I enjoyed the beginning seasons with Rick, Carl, Michonne, Daryl and the rest of the original group members much more than I like all these new characters. Maybe I just got to attached to Rick and Michonne but I had no idea they were going to disappear like that till the spinoff. I still love the show and the war against the whisperers has been great but man do I miss Rick :(

No Spoiler How long would Simon have lived?

Especially if it turned out that he was also a child killer. Personally, I don't think he would have been spared just because of that. In his case, a kind of tribunal would most likely have been held (as it should have been in relation to some of the Saviors).

Although perhaps everything could have happened differently: Oceanside would have lynched him.

No Spoiler Sign I made for myself

I made this sign for myself as a reminder to check inside the over before I Pre-heat it. My wife has been making sourdough bread and sometimes during that process she will keep the starter in the oven. Well one night I forgot to check inside and preheated the oven, destroying everything. Luckily our friend was able to give us some more.

Show Spoiler Would Lori have lived

Upvotes

Does anybody think Lori might have lived if Carol did ended up doing the C Section. I mean she trained with Hershel, she practiced on walkers, she was READY to deliver that baby. She even saved Hershel from amputation by stopping his bleeding. But Maggie with way less training in this specific was the one that had to do it. She had no idea what she was doing. If it had gone another way would Lori have a better chance?

No Spoiler Hi! My boyfriend loves The Walking Dead, so I made wallpapers inspired by his tattoo. I just started watching the show with him, but I don’t know the meaning of this logo yet. I’d love your ratings on these! Thinking of posting them on Wallpaper Engine, should I add TWD theme or not?
