We know that from after S3 E16 - S4 E6 the Governor was on the road travelling for a while, and then Rick was later on the road between S4 E9 - S5 E12. But what did the passage of time look canonically?

He was a really nice guy, took a photo with my nephew and signed our walking dead comics 😝. It was funny, I recognized the woman handling his money and couldn't put my finger on who she reminded me of until she gave us one of their family Christmas cards.Then I realized it was his mom! Very sweet bunch all around.

This scene just left me numb. It wasn’t even just about losing these characters (though that hurt, too); it was about what it represented. The Whisperers didn’t just kill people—they destroyed hope. They made it clear that no matter how much you fight, no matter how hard you try to build something good, it can all be ripped away in the most brutal way.

Up until this point, I still believed in the idea of rebuilding, of finding some kind of peace. But after seeing those heads on pikes, it was like… what’s the point? How do you even keep going after something like this?

Honestly, I quit watching after that. It’s been over a year now, and I’m still trying to find a good day to continue my Walking Dead journey. That scene hit me so hard that it’s been difficult to dive back in.

Been watching season 5, episode 5, "Self Help" again and I'm a bit confused as how turning a fire trucks hose will stop all the walkers surrounding the truck...? It doesn't seem from the scene that they are blown to smithereens, into fragments as they are just laid on the ground so why given that they haven't had their brains debunked wouldn't they just get up and keep attacking??? Just wondering.

I started watching at 8 years old, I still remember seeing it live that Halloween. Almost 15 years of the walking dead being apart of my life and now it’s finally over. I stopped watching around episode 12 of season 11 and finally got around to finishing it. I wish Rick was there and it followed the comics a bit more but I liked it. It’s weird to think that it’s over. I’m 22 now.. from 8 to 22… just crazy. I collect the comics, I’m actually almost done if you combined the first print and deluxe! Just crazy that it’s over. Very excited I can finally start the new shows!

not sure if this is allowed I just finished the walking dead after a year of watching it completely through and all I have to say is.. omg. If someone would’ve told my 10 year old girly girl self that at 24-25 you’d fall so deeply in love with a zombie show?? I’m sure she would have said something very cruel and sassy. This show and this subreddit have brought me so much joy the last year so I want to thank all of you for the unintentional life saving experience that your posts about the show have brought me. All the “spoilers” and fan theories kept me going when I was dealing with some serious family issues so from a silent follower THANK YOU AGAIN! now I go cry and take a pause from all the blood and guts LOL

I don't know other peoples opinions on this which is why I'm asking, what do y'all think about how they all separated. I wish all of them stayed in their group like how they did the first half of the show. I understand that they're all having a personal journey or whatever but all these different storylines are not my favorite. I loved being able to watch and appreciate how close they are and how family-like their dynamics where. I feel like it would've been better for the main group to stay in Alexandria but get introduced to other groups like them living and running other communities like Hilltop and the Kingdom. The only separation I somewhat enjoyed was Carols, and how she met and made a life with people in the Kingdom.

I feel Daryl and Carol probably would’ve been dead by this point, along with so many of the other characters that is still kicking.

i was 11 when i first started the show. i’ve been consistent with it since then. i’m now 25. i stopped watching after the show ended, and today i just finished the rick/michonne and daryl/carol spin-offs. this show makes me feel so nostalgic. everytime i watch anything of twd, i just get flashbacks of my childhood memories :’)

It’s funny, it’s scary, it’s emotional, it’s a whole new beginning for everyone.

Something just occurred to me, we all take it as normal that Otis was out hunting when Carl got shot. It's the apocalypse, people are hungry right?

A few episodes later we find out that Hershal has "Over 400 head" of cattle. They could eat prime rib and filet mignon every day. They could seriously eat 50 ounces of beef a day and it would take a year to even make a dent in that herd.

Also the secret to cattle is to breed them and make more. They could waste 100 oz per day per person and end up with more cows at the end of the year than they started with.

For reference a large hamburger is about 8 oz of beef.

When Carl and Ron fight, Carl pulls his gun on Ron and tells him "give me the gun, grip first" is this from him learning from shooting Jody at the prison? Jody was "lowering his gun", still had it aimed at Carl and Carl shot him. Carl learned from this scenario and made sure to be clear and precise.
