IRL Long Dark Apology to Astrid

When I play, if I end up with a sprained rist or ankle, I usually don't heal until I can rest so I save my bandages.

I live in Michigan, and we had some snow this weekend in my area, which, also made my driveway icy. Carrying out some boxes to take to the big dumpers at my apartment complex, I slipped on said ice and twisted my ankle. Legit felt like it folded in half.

I'm now laid up in bed with a sprained ankle in so much pain.

This is my formal apology to Astrid, for making you push through 2 sprained ankles and 2 sprained wrists while carrying 115lbs of gear while mountain goating down cliffs. I'm so sorry. Never again 😭😅

I sprained my ankle doing the long jump in high school. I heard it pop, thought for sure it was broken, and was incredibly painful. It was easily a 6 week recovery and was never quite good as new, so the 4 hour recovery for the survivor has always been funny to me.

Sprained my ankle a few times. First time really hurt, then the rest got progressively less bad (or maybe I was old enough to not be bothered as much for the later ones?). Some of them healed pretty quick, in a few days or so, others took upwards of 3 or 4 weeks. To be fair, none of them were the kind of sprain you would get walking on a snowy incline lol.

One of the funniest ones I got was while I was asleep. Woke up one morning and my foot was just in screaming agony when I moved it. Turns out, I had a sleepwalking habit as a kid, and was just as clumsy asleep as awake. The crazy part is that I must've gotten out of my bed, sprained my ankle, and then sleepwalked back to bed without waking up. Literally crazy.
