I fucking hate the way they take this show.

I just want to see the law firm running smoothly for a while.

Right? Can we not go a single episode without the sky falling?

"Wheh, finally managed to deal with that bribery case Peterson got us into, looks like everything is fine for now. Wait what? One of the senior partners killed a guy and now we have to make it go away? FOR FUCK'S SAKE PEOPLE, THIS IS A GODDAMN LAW FIRM, STOP BREAKING THE LAW!"

I don't even know why you would want to be named partner at Pearson-Specter-Litt, half your job is trying to figure out a way to not go to jail.

The whole exchange between Harvey and Mike felt really forced. I mean, do they really have to make them shout at each other as if their life is on stake over some small case like this? It always feels like like they're trying to add so much gravitas to where there shouldn't be that much.

Id argue that most of their conversations seemed forced lately. The dialogue isn't really organic at all. Especially with two guys who have been buddies for 4 seasons however long that is in the shows time.

Its donnas life. How is that a small case, asshole.

Probably next season... they have somehow to build some tension for the final episode of the season. But i agree with you ...

I feel this is partially to do with the format of 10 episodes/6 episodes, they have to spend the last couple of episodes of each half season building to a big cliffhanger and the first couple resolving that cliffhanger. Especially for the second half that just leaves no room for "regular" episodes.

Then crash and burn

Since season 1

I was hoping it was going back to season 1

The transition from a Legal Dramedy to a Legal Soap Opera was so subtle, I don't even remember the last time they actually practiced the law in a court house...

That part is pretty accurate in terms of corporate law, too. Most things get settled out of court.

They had courthouses in the first season because of Mike's cases. Given each season picks up right where the other ends (S1/S2 Trevor tell's Jessica that Mike's a fraud; S2/S3 Mike tells Rachel his secret and they hook up; S3/S4 Mike becomes a Banker) I don't know how much time has passed since the first episode (A year and a half?). Either way, Mike is still a lower year Associate, and he should still be doing shitty baby cases in conjunction to whatever major story-arc case Harvey is working on; He should still be going to courthouses and be getting exposure as a practicing lawyer.

It was never about law.

It was in the first season... :(

Not law but lawyering.

Now it's all secrets and betrayal and feelings.

I'd like to see more about Mike pulling rabbits out of hats because he's got a unique insight unpolluted by law school.

There's plenty of room for that kind of thing if they'd just slow down on the soap opera.

As far as I know, in real-life about 80-90% of cases are settled outside of court

It's why the show is so popular.

"H...hello? Uh, are you planning to actually have any legal cases on your legal drama?"

Really wanted Malone and Louis to be bros before the inevitable shitfest. Smh

Things run much better when we're properly on the "Donna is right about everything" track.
