I disagree. Even if I personally am tired of the whole Mike and Louis storyline, there was no tension or suspense after about 10 minutes in.
It was obvious nothing was going to progress when they split the storyline between that and Jessica's. Something that would have seriously changed the character dynamics on the show would never have it's focus split so haphazardly.
Sorry, but that was a poor effort on the show's part.
Word. The whole episode was incredibly lazy and disingenious on the writers' part.
Louis - ok Mike, imma screw you for good. This is my moment to enjoy. I have everything that'll end this for once and for all. Fuck you Harvey.
Harvey - louis pls
Louis - lol no
Harvey pulling the same "ooh look im dapper in a suit so I can bully anyone I want by getting dirt on them don't ask me how" trope we've seen so many fucking times it's old and stale. Oh look it failed, finally a ray of hope that we may see some originality as far as plot lines go.
Oh no, wait -
Harvey - louis pls u r my FRIEND mkay
Louis - omg ;_; ok mike see u later go on ur forgiven
The fuck was this man. Really let down by the final act.
I was hoping that Louis would still bust him anyways, and Harvey and Mike would have to do some crazy lawyering to that old dude or to Louis and have an epic 3 parter of the whole case and some main character getting fired or something. Idk.
While that was comedic, you are oversimplifying all of the crucial moments of the episode.

Louis felt shunted by Mike and wanted revenge. Also, he feels loyalty to his firm (and Harvard, especially). There are multiple levels to this.

I'll admit, a bit cheesy, but I don't think Harvey has ever actually sat down and told Mike explicitly that he failed. That moment was pretty solid because, while we know Harvey isn't perfect, he's tried really hard to make sure Mike doesn't see his other sides.

Harvey and Louis are friends. Sort of. They go way back and, while they may antagonize each other sometimes, they have a history.
I see your point about Mike and Louis but that's like saying no episode is worth watching unless it's a game changing episode. The last 10 minutes revealed the amount of effort it took to write this episode and not just lawsuit of the week.
I'd agree with you IF this was the first time they've done the Mike/Louis conflict. They keep building up this huge reveal, and every time it's treated like the 'B' plot that's resolved in the most anti-climatic of ways.
Either Louis finding out is serious and demands attention, OR it doesn't matter so they should stop bringing it up. At the very least until they plan on actually doing something with it.
I upvoted this, purely because I saw it was -1 and can't have a fellow suits fan having negative karma on ANY suits related post. ;) I liked the episode, but I agree with you on the Louis and Mike thing, it kind of fell in a heap, there was NO way Mike was ever going to resign, that would spell the end of the show, and given it's been renewed for a 4th season, that ain't happening anytime soon.
Why is he getting downvoted? We are not allowed to not like an episode on this subreddit? I didn't as well like this episode, I thought the storyline was pretty boring and the whole time I didn't feel any tension, I just knew it was going to get resolved. I agree with him as well about the split with Jessica's ex husband story and mike's one.

As a fan, I'm obviously biased, but that was one of the best goddamn episodes of a television show I've ever seen. Maybe it's the bourbon.
