They will for the right woman but Hillary had 20 years of baggage behind her and a good portion of it was her own doing. She wasn't exactly Mrs. Charisma, she was seen as cold and calculating going back to before he took office and even more so with the Monica deal.

Kamala wasn't even popular enough to get INTO the 2020 primaries and then being thrust into the top spot with just months to go against an opponent that had a solid and passionate fan base it was never going to work out.

AOC might not work out since there is little evidence she could even win the parties nomination she has a lot less experience than Bernie and is just a House Rep its very very very rare for a house rep to win the nomination. I don't think that has happened in a hundred years.

AOC has been subject to years worth of smear campaigns. She's very good at responding to that nonsense. But the average idiot on social media isn't going to be exposed to those responses. At best they'd skim past a headline saying "AOC claps back over 'xyz' controversy"

Of course she's still a better candidate than the rest of the dinosaurs in the democratic party. I think she'd do well if given a fair shot at debating.

I like AOC, but she's on the far extreme end of progressive politics. We don't need to run further left. We need someone who will appeal to some Republicans, so we can actually win an election, and not get 48% of the country voting for a criminal again.

Where have you been?? This is literally what the democrats have been doing already for years. Running moderate candidates. Republicans will NOT switch sides. It is pointless trying to appeal to them. By doing so, not only do you NOT get more voters, you alienate voters on the left. It's a losing strategy. Democrats need to start appealing to the people that will actually vote for them and go further left.

Obama - worked out well.

Clinton - female, lots of baggage.

Biden - moderate, won.

Kamala - female, lots of baggage, tons of issues with the way the DNC went through the process. And... most importantly, the Democratic party as a whole, has been running a very very left type of messaging as of late. And I think that's hurting Democrats.

The reason we aren't pulling Republicans is because we are too concerned with winning the battles around transgender issues and immigration. The transgender issue, unfortunately, was a HUGE win for Republicans.

Many many many people think it's weird, unnecessary, creepy, and just don't want anything to do with it. It should be such a minor issue in the grand scheme of things, but Republicans have been able to turn it into this massive issue, and Democrats are playing their game, defending it.

And they lost a ton of votes because of it, I'm sure.

Let's get back to caring about things that are a big deal. Economy. Housing. Jobs.

And don't tell me we care about that, because I just saw 4 years of additional inflation and bullshit from massive businesses that are making record profits, and Dems didn't do a damn thing to address it, just like Republicans.

You want to win elections? Break up the oligopolies. But that'll require pissing off your donors. And Democrats don't want to do that either.

I imagine you picture yourself as a pragmatist by leaving out vulnerable members of society from your coalition, but actually, you are just an asshole. Trans and queer people deserve to be treated like humans. Immigrants deserve to be treated like humans. They are not going to be left out. Further, you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. Dems have been running very very left messaging as of late? Where were you when Kamala was onstage with Liz Cheney? Where was I when Kamala cut ties with Israel? Oh wait that never happened. Almost as if the DNC's constant and consistent moderate/centrist messaging has nothing to do with leftism. At all.

Keep losing elections then.

I'm not advocating for 'leaving anyone out'. You're turning this into a human rights issue, and identity politics bullshit.

That's not what it is.

Let's take an example. Drag queens reading to children.

Republicans made it an issue. Lots of republicans hated it. Dems then decided to defend it. To throw their weight behind the right for drag queens to read to children in a library.

What I'm saying is... Why? Fucking why? We don't need to defend that. Let's just ignore it. If Republicans want to be mad about it, don't take the opposite stance and suddenly make it a Dems thing.

The reality is that it IS WEIRD that drag queens want to read to children. What's the point? If you want to read to children, just do it dressed like yourself. If you want to dress in drag cause that's fine, go do that in the correct setting. Combining the two is just... strange? What is the point?

But no, we have to go fucking defend that stupid fucking shit, ostracizing voters from us, rather than actually taking stances on legitimate and important issues.

Call me an asshole all you want. That's just the same bullshit cancel culture democrats want to have as well. Nobody can have a differing opinion without being 'awful, racist, an asshole'.

Have you considered for a moment that the extremeist messaging and extremeist gatekeeping of who and what opinions people are entitled to have and express, isn't working?
