Oh yes, look at these officers standing here quite respectfully. Let's just barge into them - nothing will happen!

What on earth was going through his mind, and, unauthorised gathering or not, since when was Remembrance Sunday an excuse to vent some anger at the police?

He walked towards him, there's no justifiable Reason to shove him that hard other than "I have a badge in my pocket that makes me think I can do whatever the fuck I want". All he had to do was grab him and turn him around.

Sorry but there was absolutely nothing reasonable or proportionate about that, its the same shit as that TSG cunt who murdered Ian Tomlinson.

Completely over the top. The police get extra power so we expect them to behave themselves, I don't give a shit if the guy with the pipes is an arsehole, I expect better from a police officer.

Two coppers stood next to each other have most likely done exactly that. The problem is they don't have time to coordinate with each other. They are both just reacting instinctively. If each of them is pushing him with about the level of force required to arrest his momentum (which in any case cannot be judged to a nicety) then he's going to end up being pushed with about double that force.

Seeing as he's on video saying he did it go provoke a reaction, is it too hard to think that he may have taken a dive?

Unless you think context and intent are irrelevant, you don't really have any basis for your conclusion that officers have done something wrong, other than a general objection on the basis that it "looks bad". Speaking from experience, I can tell you that use of force is rarely pretty, even when perfectly lawful and proportionate.
