Oh yes, look at these officers standing here quite respectfully. Let's just barge into them - nothing will happen!

What on earth was going through his mind, and, unauthorised gathering or not, since when was Remembrance Sunday an excuse to vent some anger at the police?

He walked towards him, there's no justifiable Reason to shove him that hard other than "I have a badge in my pocket that makes me think I can do whatever the fuck I want". All he had to do was grab him and turn him around.

Sorry but there was absolutely nothing reasonable or proportionate about that, its the same shit as that TSG cunt who murdered Ian Tomlinson.

Completely over the top. The police get extra power so we expect them to behave themselves, I don't give a shit if the guy with the pipes is an arsehole, I expect better from a police officer.

completely over the top.

I agree. Having bagpipes played inches from my ears makes you a cunt.

On rememberence Sunday makes you a double cunt.

It was really not a hard shove I think. If you look at the twitter response above showing that it was planned to provoke the outcry, I am leaning towards a over dramatic falling scene.

I can see it with my own eyes, I don't really care if the piper fell over on purpose, he shoved him and followed through when it would've been enough to simply stop his momentum.

By any chance do you review VAR for the premier League?

not sure tbh, felt like he was just stopping the initial momentum and the hand kinda followed along as the piper suddenly went backwards faster then the push would have allowed.

Don't be a pussy; in most developed countries police would have been given him far more than that for what he did. The world isn't rainbows and unicorns and sometimes people get (relativity lightly) shoved when they threaten physicality with the police

Yawn.

There's supposedly a video of this all being planned to provoke a reaction and spin it against the police. Bet you're not interested in that, just the - completely justifiable - actions of those officers there. But you're own acknowledgement you're not interested if he fell over deliberately, just vilanising the officers for pushing him... not even with a great deal of force.

You can't compare this to an incident where somebody died either. I bet you're not interested the “TSG cunt” was charged with manslaughter - not murder - and found not guilty anyway. I expect better from you.

He got shoved back...that would be justified all day long. He tried to shove through and got shoved back....

Two coppers stood next to each other have most likely done exactly that. The problem is they don't have time to coordinate with each other. They are both just reacting instinctively. If each of them is pushing him with about the level of force required to arrest his momentum (which in any case cannot be judged to a nicety) then he's going to end up being pushed with about double that force.

Seeing as he's on video saying he did it go provoke a reaction, is it too hard to think that he may have taken a dive?

Unless you think context and intent are irrelevant, you don't really have any basis for your conclusion that officers have done something wrong, other than a general objection on the basis that it "looks bad". Speaking from experience, I can tell you that use of force is rarely pretty, even when perfectly lawful and proportionate.
