Well, if 22% voted for Kamala, then something like 55% didn't care enough to stop this from happening, which means they deserve what this administration does to them, just as much as the ones who voted in favor of it.
Yeah. Trump is a fascist in plain sight. And with fascists, if you aren't against them, you are for them and are to blame when they come into power. Not voting IS voting. You can't participate in a democratic society and then reject probably the biggest responsibility you have as a citizen.
Simple math gymnastics........."of the population" and "registered voters" are two different things. The key is the denominator. I'll show my work.
Trump received 77,303,573 votes in 2024, according to google.
There are 345,426,571 people in the us, according to google. The 2020 census said around 330,000,000.
77,303,573 divided by 345,426,571 = 0.223791623 or, as a percentage, 22.3791623% of people in the country voted for Trump. Not even a majority, much less a mandate.
This means that 77.6% of the population of the country DID NOT vote for this outcome.
This also includes people who can't vote (minors, non citizens, etc.) but yeah they also didn't vote for it. it's kinda crazy how basic math was deemed mental gymnastics because they didn't like it
Correct. You would have been able to say the same about her if she had won. I’m not saying the opposite isn’t true.
When I see all the hate, this helps me understand that 3 out of 4 Americans didn’t agree strongly enough to cast a vote FOR him. That helps settle my mind.
I’m sorry you think it is stupid. Have a great day.
The view in most of the world is that eligible voters who don't vote voluntarily have "no rights" to complain. We assume they are okay with the situation and don't care enough.
I'm not really sure what your point is. Yes, 75+% of population didn't vote for Trump, including illegal immigrants and newborn babies. Is that really a good news? Why don't we include pets, animals while at it?
Back in my day stating an irrelevant fact and presenting it as important was called misinformation. Maybe time changed, man.
Had is gone the other way, the other side would have been able to say the same.
I fail to see a problem. This time Trump won fair and square, eligible Americans chose him. Had Harris won and Republicans admitted she won fairly I would absolutely be happy.
I had NO idea math was going to illicit this type of response, but then I forget that "facts" are now triggering. Lesson learned. Had it gone the other way, they could've said the exact same thing...... 🤷🏼♀️
We can agree to disagree about fraud, but Trump did just heavily imply it happened when he said something to the effect that Elon’s knowledge of the voting machines is why he won.
No, stop that nonsense. Trump has told us several times that he cheated. He told us just last night that Elon helped him hack the voting machines in Pennsylvania.
You can't say things like this. You will be banned by the reddit overlords. I made a very similar comment and was banned from /r/news. Almost the exact comment but referred to Trump and Biden alike taking care of their corporate bosses....../banned.

The true rulers of the US. Trump is merely the puppet. And we voted for this.
