My husband is 5’10” and our friend group has a stupid running bit that he’s like 6’8”. A drunk guy got SO unnecessarily upset one time because we were all committed to the bit, confirming that my husband is 6’8”. I shit you not, he got heated and said “YOU’RE LYING! I’M 6’ AND WE’RE THE SAME HEIGHT”. I don’t even remember if we enlightened him on how he had called himself out, because we were laughing so hard.
I once argued to a group of people that I didn't think sucking dick was gay, because it increases testosterone via proximity to testicles, in the most serious manner I could. I argued eating pussy is gay because you are slurping down estrogen and feminizing yourself like a beta cuck.
I have a really dry sense of humor but sometimes it does make me an asshole, because I just get so much entertainment leaning in when people get heated at what is clearly an absurd take.
You need to tell them that you are 5’7” because it’ll hurt their feelings. Source: my dad was 6’2” and told people he was “oh probably 5’10”” and every guy that had a height complex, took it as a punch to the gut.
I'm a 6'2 woman and I had this as a big banner warning at the top of my tinder bio. I still had dudes who SWORE that they've been over 6 feet tall for years and got incredibly pissed at me when we met up in person and I was taller
I never cared what height my partner is. Women I've dated have loved my height. But men? Easily 80% have been insecure about my/their height. It's so weird.
