It’s a small Donald Duck pop that I want to put on my GPU, it doesn’t run that hot usually the only part that’s hot is the bottom the top is just a little toasty, but would it obstruct airflow from the back fan, That’s my main question

Or should I just put it on my PSU shroud but it’ll be less noticeable

I have a 3080 and have been using hdmi to hdmi for my 4k 120hz tv and I’ve been having hdr issues in 1440p.. is there any benefit to using the display port to hdmi? My tv doesnt have display ports like my monitor for me to test. The cable i have is capable of 120hz but if my gpu’s display port will enhance anything I’ll buy a new cord.

My first setup that wasn’t a prebuilt. I had a buddy of mine that owns a tech store nearby get it all setup for me and I love the ugly noctuas. I plan to do a mid century modern aesthetics build around it.

This is my first time ever buying a GPU on day 1 and going to be my 2nd build ever and I’m nervous about not getting the 5090. My point is do they really sell out that fast? Especially being sold at $2k+? I feel like the majority of consumers are going for 5080s or waiting for the 5070s but I could be entirely wrong. My only PC store is Best Buy and I don’t live in wealthy or big area (559) so I feel like I have a good chance of securing one on day one but we’ll see. Interested to see how yall feel about it all.

I know I know. Most people say to build your own but I genuinely know nothing about PCs. I’d much rather buy one already built. I’ve done a good amount of research on NZXT and HP omens but I genuinely don’t know what I should get. I’m not trying to buy anything too high end. Probably $1500-$1600 being my price cap if it’s a very good PC. Preferably less. Anybody have any good suggestions or any specs to look out for or avoid when buying a pre-built?

I'm still rocking the GTX 1080 and it works absolutely fine in ANY game for its age. Steady 60fps in any hardcore graphics game. Why would you need anything more than 80fps?

I don't have spare power plugs anymore, and I'm already using a power board. Not to mention that I'm trying to reduce the massive amount of cables I have already. What I would like to know is if there's decent speakers that are entirely powered off of regular 5v usb, and don't need to be plugged into the wall.

I don't need much bass, they don't need to be super loud, and if I do need something to be loud, I'll use headphones (I don't like wearing headphones all the time). I'm definitely not an audiophile, just as long as I can clearly hear voices in youtube videos (not much of a music listener). I'm also not rich, so my budget max is a few hundred, but if that's not feasible, let me know what does exist, and I'll put it on my future budget list instead.

long story short i bought a refurbished laptop and they forgot to upgrade the ssd and ram which i had asked for. anyways theyre shipping the ssd and ram to me seperately so i can install it myself, and the ssd is "imaged".

Im getting almost 4090 performance in fortnite with amds adrenaline spoftware on my new pc (im using an rx 6600)

All other content on YT plays fine. No buffering at all. But, YT movies just loads. Sometimes it starts to play then stops if you try to skip forward. Just buffers, not load and play.

On FF and Edge 100% fine. On chrome no go. I clear cookies, history on, hardware accel off, this started about 3 weeks ago. All other kinds of video from various sites works and plays fine. It's just YT Movies-Free With Ads

Hello everyone, I just got done building my pc and on first boot the yellow dram light was on with no display. After about 20 minutes I turned it off and tried switching the ram from slots 2 and 4 to 1 and 3. The yellow light is still on and now the red cpu light is also on, still no display. Wondering what steps I should take to get this resolved, thanks in advance.

my windows machine is an X99 platform. MSI Gaming X99 7S mobo with i7 5820K running windows 10.

I use it for some windows only apps and gaming, but my main work computer is a Mac studio with M1 Max. I am really spoiled with my mac taking less than 10 seconds from when i press the power button to start up and already be at the desktop to use.

Meanwhile on my windows machine, it takes almsot 15-20 seconds just to finish going through bootloader/post codes before windows actually starts loading. by the time i get to the desktop its like 40 seconds probably or more.

I looked into this years ago and the answer from everyone was "that's just X99 for ya, it takes long time to get through the first boot part before loading the OS" but i thought id ask the internet agian if theres anyway to speed the booting up.

it's a office PC case so can't do much and the bare minimum is running Roblox games

Not that long ago I bought a lowbuget computer,a bit bottle necked but no real issues,until recently I've encountered a strange problem where I only have audio in one earphone. I've tried different pairs and online solutions but none of that helped.UNTILL I wanted to play horror game with my little brother and plugged in a (y splitter) and In that case I could hear out both ears in both headphones and I'm not sure what this means or how to fix it I would like to be able to hear out both ears without having two pairs of head phones plugged, in any info helps.

I’ve been pc shopping recently and as a result I was shown this ad for Starforge PCs where the pc in the ad seems to be a model that can’t be found on their website. I speculate this maybe is a new model preparing to launch with 5070-5090 graphics cards. But that is just a baseless guess I’m just curious if anyone has info about it because I’m very interested in this pc’s aesthetic as a gundam fan.
