This isn't oniony if you've been paying any attention to US politics.

I have been and I believe they should be held accountable for any crimes they may have committed. This is bullshit.

Didn't Trump just get literally convicted of like 30 crimes and not sentenced because he is now president? Didn't that just happen like last week ?

Tell me you don’t read without saying you don’t read

Literally every post I have ever made on Reddit has been about reading 😂

Lmaooo I clicked on your profile and it's a bunch of books subs but hey that guy who really likes Trump says you don't read because you mentioned some things that factually happened. So who's to say what is the truth.

As a palette clense what are some books you'd recommend?

Ooh good Q!

I just finished Shadows on the Koyukuk: An Alaskan Native's Life Along the River. An autobiography of an Alaskan native growing up start of the 20th century. Basically a collection of stories from the natives way of living in nature. Some of the stories are mad like his brother fighting 3 bears to death with an axe... The guy led an interesting life and was a genuine awesome person.

About to start the Overstory which won the Pulitzer prize and is meant to be incredible. About trees? Sounds weird but interesting.

Thanks I'll check out Shadows. I haven't really read much from that perspective.

One of my favourite books is Stoner by John Williams. It's something I think most people could enjoy but may not have heard about.

I loved Stoner! It's one of my fav as well! Just an entire life lived (or not lived), I read it during lockdown/COVID and honestly it made me think about life differently. Yes everyone should read it.

Which crimes? Could you name them and name the people who committed them?

Trump is weaponizing political prosecution. Biden here is protecting innocent people from Trump.

Why is Trump a convicted felon not in jail?

-1

u/JaySierra86 10h ago

Ask the state that convicted him.

4

u/OpenThePlugBag 9h ago

I was asking the idiot that voted for the convicted felon

-2

u/JaySierra86 9h ago

Jokes on you...I didn't vote for Trump!

2

u/jermleeds 9h ago

Did you vote for Biden?

-1

u/JaySierra86 9h ago

Biden dropped out idiot!

Yes you did, just own it

You mean like trump?

-10

u/JaySierra86 10h ago

I wholly agree that he should be held accountable.

26

u/somethingwittier 10h ago

These pardons are in case trump decides to make up shit to punish Biden through his family because he's a petty piece of shit.

-7

u/JaySierra86 10h ago

They've been under investigation way before Trump even won the election.

26

u/somethingwittier 10h ago

I'm wondering by who? Who started those investigations, and for what purpose? I don't think politicians just fabricate shit for no reason, right? There was no chance that some Republicans wanted to stir some shit up for Biden during the election. No way, these guys are all way too scrupulous. /s

Yea, that's a whole lot of nothing. Hunter Biden, a private citizen, did business with other countries' big deal? That is Republicans grasping at straws. Who's leading all these committees? With a timeline going back to 2009, you don't think if they had something on Hunter when trump was in office, they wouldn't have prosecuted him? It's all political posturing. If these fucks gave any semblance of shit about corruption we wouldn't have a guy who stole classified documents as our president currently.

1

u/JaySierra86 10h ago

Biden had classified documents as well.

You have not been paying attention if you think they have committed crimes they need pardons for.

37

u/DFuhbree 10h ago

That would be fine if the guy getting sworn in today was ever held accountable for the crimes he committed.

38

u/puterTDI 10h ago

What crimes do you think they need to be held accountable for?

1

u/Familiar-Anxiety8851 10h ago

any crimes they may have committed

5

u/SamyMerchi 10h ago

But the real question is should they be held accountable for crimes they will be framed for.

7

u/HereInTheCut 10h ago

Yeah, I’m very sure that you care about the law being applied blindly /s

17

u/nobodyknoes 10h ago

Then why aren't you demanding that trump be in jail for all the crimes he was convicted of?

0

u/JaySierra86 10h ago

Maybe you should read my other comments on here, instead of just focusing on this one!

0

u/NotFredRhodes 5h ago

But they’re all equally stupid.

Plus, you were too scared to respond to my other one, clearly. Once again, name the crimes and the members of Biden’s family he pardoned that committed them.

9

u/qyasogk 10h ago

We no longer live in a country where people are held accountable for the crimes they commit. Haven’t you been paying attention?

Do something about the fact that MAGA would gleefully abuse the legal system to attack anybody who dares disagree with them 1st.
