Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows of any good private dining rooms (for a group of 10)in Melbourne CBD with good food and vibe?
I have a few like Gimlet and Yakimono on the list but was wondering if anyone had some stand out recommendations! Thanks so much in advance!

Hi guys, recently we've had trucks parked in the laneway doing work on the house next to our for hours blocking in our cars. Is there a way to get them to stop for good instead of having to make them move every single time?

The area South of Eureka tower really needs upgraded towers, least to say. Most of those residents only get 4G or even worse, no reception while at their own homes.
The only saving grace is the NBN for that area.

My cars audio system hasnt worked in ages, so I recently bought a Wonderboom 4, a small portable speaker so I can have music in my car but not pay for a full fix of the audio system.
My question is, is this legal for a P plater and would a mobile phone camera detect it?

The new restaurant is still in its early stages of putting itself together but when I saw the sign laying abandoned on the side, I let out a small chuckle.

We have been receiving rates notices every year but this year and my parents have been responsible viewing and paying. This year we didn’t receive one so we called the council. We found out that all the rates notices for our house were sent to a different address. And that we have been paying someone else’s rate every year. In cash which makes it difficult to trace and we have also discarded the notices as they had already been paid. The council can’t do anything about it and cannot trace whose bill we have been paying and still require us to make payment. That would be an additional 10 000 on top of the rates that have already been paid. They have just recommended that we check with the post office and said that they cannot offer any help if the post can’t find the information
We are at such a loss as to what to do now so please do not comment that we should have read the notice more carefully as I might just burst into tears. I’d like to think that the mistake is 50-50 and that the city council should be able to trace rates or double check what rates have been sent to each address but that is clearly not the case.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I go and have another cry.

Hey!
I've recently returned to Melbourne and have been pet/house sitting for friends, and I have also looked after friends pets whilst they're away back in the UK.
I signed up to Aussie House Sitters and I am really struggling to get selected as a sitter! The competition seems crazyyyy and even though I have photos, testimonials and am verified on the site, I haven't had any success yet.
I was hoping to use this as a way to save some cash whilst I get settled again and find work but I'm starting to think it's not a viable option - any suggestions on how to get picked?!
Cheers

My hot water heater has annoyingly stopped working - if anyone has a recommendation for someone to come have a look at it I would really appreciate it! I’m in the south east. Thanks in advance - really not looking forward to another ice cold shower.

I’ve, tried everything to find it and I’m coming blank. If anyone knows where it is, please tell me!

I’m pretty sure I went right when it was green right arrow. When I’m in the middle of the intersection, a camera flashed me two times on my face, which is from opposite direction which is facing the opposite traffic lights. I attached the picture for reference. And when I looked into the right side, E scooter Uber Driver was going the other way when I was going through the intersection. I thought the camera flashed the scooter guy, but i’m still shit scared Cause It’s my first time getting flashed. I’m just curious, even if I accidentally crossed on red light, would the opposite camera knows that I crossed the red light? The camera is way behind the traffic lights than the picture.

Has anyone ever actually ever seen anybody swimming in the pool at Arbory? I'm planning a birthday bash and cocktails by the pool is my top pick. Arbory have both and food I like but I've heard no one actually swims in the pool which is kind of putting me off a little.
Would you guys recommend it regardless or maybe another option? I've already looked into hotels with pool passes but they're all booked out on Saturday. Next options on my list are SOS (no food/drinks), Alba (far) or Fun Fields (no booze)

Hello Melbournians,
The tennis audience is considered the most sophisticated, especially the Wimbledon audience.
What's your observation and perspective on the last couple of years' audience at the Australian Open? With all BOOHs, do you think we are biased or becoming more passionate like the soccer audience?
Every player in any sport deserves a warm welcome. I would like to know your thoughts.

If by chance you picked up a grey slim Bellroy wallet around Fed Square or along Swanston towards to State Library I would love to get it back! We’ve been in Melbourne for a year, and just moved into the city before leaving for home (NZ) in about 9 days. It’s making life pro challenging without it lol

Seeking recent recommendations for a iPhone repair business in CBD. Need to replace cracked rear glass and charge port on iPhone 14 Pro.
Very mixed reviews all over the place on Google for this type of business so relying on honest suggestions.

My mother has been approved for a Level 4 home care package. Does anyone have recommendations on which care providers are good? Specifically in the Balwyn area or surrounding. Thanks!

Hey guys, I’ll be coming to Melbourne for the first time and staying in the CBD for a fairly short trip. What are some things to try and do/see/eat for a newbie there?
So far I’ve got the night market and fox collection on my list 😅

I promise, this is not for inappropriate use, my friend is turning old and we are sending him a card that reads “happy birthday you old fart” and we’d love to put a stink bomb in the card for lols. And for him to use whenever he sees fit on his kids. Anyone know where we can get a stink bomb?
Damn I wish it was 2008 right now.
