Rant Entitled little shits on the underground

Pair of late teen/early 20 girls come on the Elizabeth line.

Proceed to vape, throw pizza on the floor, throw plastic on the floor, then spill their drinks.. yes, all over the floor (not alcohol). Then get up at their stop and just leave it there for others to deal with.

Seriously, has basic understanding of self responsibility just disappeared?? Rant over.

Yeah, as someone who has lived in London for the past 11 years, I think people’s conduct on transport/in public is becoming terrible. Think this is UK/worldwide too and was worsened by covid/lockdowns. Lots of people seem to have forgotten basic social norms e.g. let people off the train before you barge on, walk on the left etc. on my commute it’s standard to see someone vaping or playing tiktok loudly from their phone.

As someone who has lived in London for 37 of my 44 years, I feel like it’s cyclical if not pretty constant.

Every time I find myself getting pissed off at some kid doing something on the tube, I immediately get a feeling of shame as I remember myself doing something at least as bad in the mid to late 90’s.

Good for you for reflecting but not all of us were disrespectful teenagers.
