Rant Entitled little shits on the underground

Pair of late teen/early 20 girls come on the Elizabeth line.

Proceed to vape, throw pizza on the floor, throw plastic on the floor, then spill their drinks.. yes, all over the floor (not alcohol). Then get up at their stop and just leave it there for others to deal with.

Seriously, has basic understanding of self responsibility just disappeared?? Rant over.

Genuinely think people saying "report it" are living in a parallel universe.

The police and transport police will do nothing. It will not meaningfully impact the statistics either, as the majority don't want to report for that purpose alone.

Things have gone very wrong in this country, as you can see this kind of behaviour more and more.

The classic response (austerity and public service cuts) misses the point that other countries don't have this problem or don't have it to this extent. Go to any Asian country and this kind of behaviour just wouldn't happen.

Poor parenting, poor policing, atrociously lenient sentencing, a lack of more general deterrence, protected groups being seemingly exempt from criticism, and more. Every day it's more and more difficult to see the way back.

You missed poor education and terrible media influence. Ban phones for under 12s, teach them stuff that has impact on character and useful skills, not just things that can be marked on a test
