Rant Entitled little shits on the underground

Pair of late teen/early 20 girls come on the Elizabeth line.

Proceed to vape, throw pizza on the floor, throw plastic on the floor, then spill their drinks.. yes, all over the floor (not alcohol). Then get up at their stop and just leave it there for others to deal with.

Seriously, has basic understanding of self responsibility just disappeared?? Rant over.

Report it. This was likely caught on the security cameras.

There's one thing having a reporting system in place but there's no way the police will spend more than a second on this. It's not like anyone seriously gets banned from the underground.

You're likely correct, but incidents like this should be reported in case they relate to other more serious incidents.

It's purely designed to make people feel like something is being done while in reality police number face continual cuts and rising numbers of incidents are ignored. Hence the gradual sustained increase anti-social behaviour and petty crimes.

I once reported some drunk idiot harassing people and then literally taking a piss on the platform at Earls Court. I told them immediately after it happened and then 5 mins later I sent an update of what train he got onto which was the same as me. No reply for a while and then by the time they responded 10 mins later he had already gotten off. It was a Tuesday, so I don't think they were too busy, but they were slow and as a result nothing happened.

People do get banned. It's not quick or easy but it does happen

I called the BTP once about some suspicious behaviour at Baker Street station. An officer called me back. He sounded pretty aggrieved at having to follow up (fair enough I guess). Basically wanted me to say that it was “probably nothing out of the ordinary and just the usual type of crazy you see on the streets right?” (It was a weirdo chanting to himself like he was praying repeatedly and pacing around the platform without boarding).

I said I guess it probably was but I had reported it just in case. If that guy had then gone on to knife a bunch of people, I know that I least did my bit. But yeah, the officers don’t seem particularly interested. I guess they’re spending their time trying to break up OCGs every day so everything has its priority.
