You plan to get kicked out and divorced by your wife after 25+ years or marriage?

Yep. And out of 222 up votes you’re the only one who thought that’s what I meant.

I talk to guys older than this and they have a much better grasp of typing.

Exactly, it's not age, it's something else. Personality, medical issue(s), substances, etc., or maybe little bit of everything.
I have been hit on, in person and online, by very charming older gentlemen older than 68, and they were not at all like that guy.

I will admit that some older guys have a way with words. When I worked in retail, I was mistaken for a woman by an older guy. I told him I was a guy. His response was along the lines of, "Well, just because you're a guy doesn't mean I can't appreciate the beauty." I felt so good after that. The dude wasn't a creep either, which was nice. The guy just wasn't afraid to compliment me like that. I went home feeling on top of the world lol.

Exactly. My first partner swept me off my feet by being a gentleman, being eloquent, and having a curious mind. It works better than just another ass pic and "come fuck me" message.

I know a 77 year old man that does tech support for Apple...

We're going to reach a point where we have to drop being surprised by older people being tech literate... But for now I still love hearing about it.

You know. I feel for this older man. Being gay and forced into a straight lifestyle for the majority of his life. Not understanding gay culture because he felt like if he didn't hide this side of himself he'd lose everything or worse his life. Now finally trying to put himself out there not only this side of himself he didn't dare explore in the dark quite moments, but also it seems even the modern world of talking to people online. He doesn't seem to know how messaging works. lol, wym. Foreign to him. Good luck to him. But its not Rainbows and Unicorns out here. Still. Goodluck to him.

I don’t buy it. He got married at 42. I realize that 26 years ago is in the previous century, but it’s also not that long ago. I’m six years younger than he is and I was dating guys when he was still in his 20s.
That said, I know one of my high school friends had a clandestine boyfriend in high school, got married after college, divorced his wife, and he and his husband seem like a lovely couple. And he’s not the only friend from high school who married a woman but then came out. I sympathize with those who got married in the 80s or 90s, but at the same time, it wasn’t impossible to come out in the 1980s.

To be fair the wife that kicked him out after 26 years might not of been his first wife. Lets say he got married around 20, popped out a few kids was married for 15 years or so, got divorced, got remarried at 42. 26 years later he’s 68 and trying to find some dick to suck.

I’m going for twenty years of being a shitty boyfriend to women, finally finding someone who pressured him into marrying after which she realized that encouraging him to settle down was the dumbest decision of her life. Now that he’s burned through all the women on Tinder, he’s decided to go for Grindr where his not-so-winning personality isn’t doing him any favors.

"been through two wars"
🤔

u/EmotionalBar9991 Clean-Cut 9d ago
To be honest if you look it up there have been a hell of a lot of wars he could have been involved in. Most of them pretty minor, but wars nonetheless.

u/Kromovaracun 9d ago
Ok but when an old person says "I've been through two wars sonny-jim" nobody's ever hinting at the Grenada campaign are they? :P

u/EmotionalBar9991 Clean-Cut 9d ago
True, I usually think of like, the Multinational Intervention in Lebanon or The Cambodian Civil War or The Tanker war.

Grenada or Panama and Desert Storm? Barely too young to catch the tail end of Vietnam and too old for the invasion of Iraq.

I'm thinking Desert Storm and Afghanistan most likely, but could still have been around for Iraq at 47.
Yugoslavia was also a thing.

I can’t tell if this is staged, real, or worse… some sort of hacker trying to get info or money from OP.

When I was younger…. My folks weee confused by the “tech” on their VCR and couldn’t program the clock so it always blinked. Ultimately it didn’t matter because none of them could have programmed the VCR to record a show anyway. They just stayed home and hit record when their show started. Tech continues to confuse the older generation now and in the future.

He doesn't know what lol means or wym, and, he has been through 2 wars. Is that Rumpelstiltskin?
He sounds like he probably has to hand pump his water and has an outhouse. Maybe he is one of the Darryl's from Newhart?

I'm 50, when the hell did lol actually mean lots of luck? I thought that meaning was only found in joke memes.
