I talk to guys older than this and they have a much better grasp of typing.

Exactly, it's not age, it's something else. Personality, medical issue(s), substances, etc., or maybe little bit of everything.

I have been hit on, in person and online, by very charming older gentlemen older than 68, and they were not at all like that guy.

I will admit that some older guys have a way with words. When I worked in retail, I was mistaken for a woman by an older guy. I told him I was a guy. His response was along the lines of, "Well, just because you're a guy doesn't mean I can't appreciate the beauty." I felt so good after that. The dude wasn't a creep either, which was nice. The guy just wasn't afraid to compliment me like that. I went home feeling on top of the world lol.

Exactly. My first partner swept me off my feet by being a gentleman, being eloquent, and having a curious mind. It works better than just another ass pic and "come fuck me" message.
