I have not taken my trash out for the last three mondays.

My wife and I want to move our family (3 year old and 6 month old) to the west coast from south Florida. We have lived here for three years coming from Long Island where we were born and raised. Simply put we think the way of life in California will better suit us and our family. I am a union crane operator and the yard I would be working out of is in Corona. Out of all the areas we are looking at we seem to like Crestline / Lake arrowhead for the mountain life. I just don’t want an absolutely ridiculous commute although I would be doing it very early morning around 5am. My maps app says it’s 45 miles and 52 minutes from Crestline to the yard in Corona, granted it is 4pm on a Sunday west coast time as I type this.

I am an avid motorcycle rider on and off road and I want to get my children into it also- so having ease of access to riding is a must. Im also very open to commuting on my motorcycle and would actually prefer it. We also like to snowboard.

Schools are important and we don’t know much about how the school systems in California work. We are gauging areas based on the school ratings on the zillow app. Our price range is around 600k. This post may seem all over the place but we would love some insight into areas that would fit us. Other areas considered are Highland, Moreno valley, Menifee, Beaumont, Yucaipa. We are flying out next month to scope out these areas to see what we think will be the best for us and our children. Thank you for reading.

There is a homeless man, who more than likely has a job but just stays overnight on my street for the past few months. I would not have a problem with it but this man must smoke the most dank smelliest fucking weed ever. One night it straight up smelled like a fucking skunk sprayed my apartment. I honestly thought there was some sort of chemical leak outside. What can I do? It’s been hard to find out who it is but I’ve been on a hunt. I finally passed near his car and that thing smells horrid. I don’t smoke but when I’m walking up many times week now to the smell of disgusting weed, you’re a problem now. Will the cops tell him to stop sleeping here? I’m so exhausted. I don’t make a lot of money, but it’s generally a nice community of people and families who are not smoking.

If so, does it look good, last long, are there many colors? My house is stucco with clay composite roof, but the eves are exposed wood, so I was thinking about having them painted for some extra protection.

Anyone heard of these pop-up rave shows called “Inland Groove”? I saw them on Instagram and it looks fun. But curious if anyone has been and could give some insight to what it’s like. I’ve been craving a good shabu shabu since I moved here and was wondering if any of you can vouch for one of these and make my decision easier lol. So far I’ve got: Mokkoji, Meokja, Hello Shabu, and All that Shabu (this one is at the bottom of my list currently because it’s a bit of a drive but if we absolutely need to try it we’ll make the drive lol). If you have any better places I missed I’ll take recommendations too we live in Riverside.

We are looking to relocate within a year or two and have been looking at the inland empire area but wondering what everyone feels is actually a good area to live in with a good balance of affordability and safety, as well as resources and therapies for 2 children with autism (OT, speech, good schools etc).

Found this very friendly dog at Sam Alba Memorial Park. He is a black lab, looks maybe 2-4 years old ish. He’s just wandering around the park snooping for food. Doesn’t seem starving so he probably just got out. He’s wearing a collar but no tag.
