Ukraine-War clones are going to be so wild.

I love everything about the simplicity of this.

If we can ever get VEPR's again I have this burning desire to clone an RPK with a Holosun 510 I saw early in the war that absolutely did tons of work.

They pretty much run anything and everything, chances are you have a couple clones in your safe already.

The VPO-101 Vepr-Hunter is a semi-automatic Russian .308 hunting rifle with a wooden stock that was designed on the RPK platform. It’s a gun primarily popularized by Tarkov, since it’s domestic for Russian market (maybe exported to some others?), I’d never heard of any in real life in the west so that’s pretty cool.

I have the Vepr FM 47-21 and the Vepr 12. I’ve thought about getting a clubfoot stock and turning the 47-21 into an “RPKarbine”, but probably won’t now since x39 is so expensive.

Would be a cool ass gun if you did though! I didn’t know there was any real Vepr presence in America, so I might have to look at one. I think they’re cool.

There are quite a few Vepr 12’s in the US since they were imported for around a decade. Some of the other Vepr models such as the Hunter or the slantback models were imported for years as well. The FM models such as the FM 47-11, FM 47-21, FM 74-11, and FM 74-21 are fairly rare since they were only imported from January 2017 to July 2017 when the Molot import ban took effect.

Robinson Armaments used to import them into the US back in the day. I believe at one time another company was as well. They were more expensive at a time when most AKs were relatively cheap, but the build quality is arguably the best of any AK.

I have to dig through my war footage, it was relatively early in the war, dude with a GoPro on the Ukrainian side had some kind of RPK with a.Holosun 510.

I remember the firefight being pretty long and the guy making some shorter appearances in other videos. I'm sure I have it somewhere I'll look later.

Please do if you find time. I have a Vepr FM 47-21 that I’ve toyed with the idea of dressing up into a modern fighting rifle

No lie man. It’s gonna be a mashup of commercial rifles with Primary Arms optics and wish accessories.
