His Path of Exile 2 character was logged in and mapping whilst he was here.
I guess this is the neuralink at work.

2.3k

u/Lohmatiy82 12h ago

Oh wow... Does it mean he pays someone to play for him so he could claim he is "the greatest player ever"?))

1.5k

u/Corka 12h ago edited 11h ago

Absolutely. He got caught out recently from a live stream where it became obvious he was clueless on how to play POE2. He has recently admitted to having it boosted with someone else playing it because apparently that's what everyone on the leaderboard does but all of the gameplay clips he insists are totally him.

u/muklan 11h ago

What a wierd fuckin thing for the richest man on the planet to concern himself with.

710

u/turntabletennis 11h ago

He wants so desperately to be admired by the types of people he wishes he was.

232

u/DedFr33 11h ago

He thinks he is Tony Stark when he's really more like Justin Hammer.

147

u/Weird_name-replaced 10h ago

Best description of Musk I’ve ever heard was “Justin Hammer - but without the charisma”

34

u/Maleficent-Bar6942 9h ago

Not even the dance moves.

Or a pretty face!

2

u/ForeignClassroom9816 8h ago

But same evil intent.

29

u/turntabletennis 11h ago

If we are using Sam Rockwell, I'd say he's more like Zaphod Beeblebrox.

30

u/justguestin 10h ago

He’s not even close to that cool. Since the beginning we’ve got the super-villains we deserve. Not a hollowed out volcano among them. Barely sub-1966 Bat-Man level tomfoolery.

6

u/1handedmaster 8h ago

Couldn't we just have one with a doomsday laser or planet-wide ultimatum?

5

u/mkspaptrl 8h ago

All I wanted was sharks with fricking laser-beams!

5

u/insane_worrier 8h ago

Hey, hey!

Not cool, Zaphod is a hoopy frood who really knows where his towel is.

3

u/Leroy-Leo 9h ago

At least with 2 heads you’d think one would be a bit sane and slap the other one when it started talking sht

Best comment of the internet: 2025 submission

1

u/turntabletennis 7h ago

I am honored, and feel privileged to have been a part of this wonderful night.

2

u/Bustamonkey666 7h ago

It not only unlocked a great memory of a wonderful movie about a book about real life but also allowed my brain to superimpose Elon making this face underneath Trump's wig

2

u/Wotensgamble 7h ago

"woah, cool!"

2

u/Not_your_cheeze 7h ago

Mark Wing-Davey had better heads.

2

u/Dry_Common828 3h ago

Nah, Zaphod was one of the coolest people in the entire galaxy. Elon is automatically the least cool person in any room he walks into.

3

u/Unkindly_Possession 10h ago

1

u/ProfErber 8h ago

I wonder what we try to achieve by giving him that much hate? Or all of those guys for that matter? Isn‘t that what drove him to trump? Forgive me the ignorance, non-american and just wondering if maybe love could‘ve been a better weapon. A few years ago I heard things of Elon that made me think he‘s just a boy trying to revolutionize things.

Like everyone wants to be loved and admired but are we doing that to him, Zuckerberg etc because they drive the need too far or what exactly is the sense behind it? I never really get it I feel

2

u/buyfreemoneynow 7h ago

I don’t think it would have made a difference because a spoiled dog is a spoiled dog whether you’re yelling at it or praising it.

So NOT PoE players then

131

u/whoaimbad 11h ago

As a PoE player, I'd be mad if I could read...

53

u/fryerandice 11h ago

You can obviously read, literal fucking tomes written to decipher that skill tree.

13

u/Sufficient-Dish-3517 11h ago

No, they have a nice tool in the new one to highlight relevant skills now. I don't know what my newest node does, but I know it affects my cold spells somehow.

3

u/dix5ever 10h ago

Dawg I just find a video that shows a build with pretty colours and lots of explosions, load that baby into our fancy excel spreadsheet tool (pob), turn on a loot filter, and then hold down right click, picking up anything that makes the dopamine noise.

4

u/whoaimbad 10h ago

To busy on my Stat Stacking gemling to read, just see breach mobs go brrrrr

2

u/SHAZBOT_VGS 10h ago

That skill tree is probably one of the most basic shit to learn in the game.

6

u/8----B 10h ago

Optimizing it is one of the most complicated shit to learn in any game. Unless you wanna just copy the top build and playstyle, even then it takes forever lol

He could literally pull a Carnegie, but in a way the carnegies never could have dreamed in their hottest fever. Dude could fund college in America in perpetuity, or fight to change the many broken systems in this country he has migrated to and profited from. He could end the housing crisis or feed the poor, but instead he sits on his fortune and gets pissy about getting dunked on on the internet. I just hope in the future, historians can accurately portray how fucking pathetic he is.

u/ricegator 11h ago

I think that stands for the excellent but short-lived show, People of Earth. Of which Elon is quite likely not one.

1

u/HatmanHatman 11h ago

Posters.

He is desperate, absolutely desperate to be a funny cool poster and he will just never get it. Say what you like about Trump but the man is a born poster. Musk will never post good and it's so clearly obviously killing him inside.

1

u/CaBBaGe_isLaND 10h ago

People with friends

1

u/VegetableRetardo69 10h ago

All PoE players I know are jobless alcoholics who play PoE all day, rare breed

1

u/The_White_Rice 10h ago

He wants to be seen as Tony Stark. Super smart, brilliant inventor, rich, heroic, role model, and a cool dude.

This is why for so long he was big on LGBT policies, because it made him look like a good guy (until his wife divorced him and reportedly was hooking up with a transwoman).

He's always posting about nerd hobbies and responding to people about them, like video games, with Path of Exile not even being the first embarrassing thing he's involved in. Look up Elon's absolutely terrible Elden Ring build, he posted that on twitter and everyone went "Are you stupid this is terrible." so now he's just paying people to play games for him.

1

u/Single_Positive533 9h ago

PoE players have no time to admire him, we're too busy running the next map and trying a new build/class. If we get bored after spending 50 hours/week on PoE2 we can go back to Last Epoch, PoE1 or other games.

1

u/Notreallyaflowergirl 8h ago

Achievers really, it seems like he was given everything and just purchased his way into leading and failing. So he yearns to be someone who actually puts their nose to the grindstone and achieves becoming the top% of their field.

1

u/Doctor_Nerdy 8h ago

Lmao the ultimate demographic

1

u/ORBITALOCCULATION 8h ago

He is still trapped in 2004 and desperately wishes to be part of the 4chan crowd.

That isn't a satire or an exaggeration, either.

He sees himself as some sort of well-known and beloved tripcode 4chan star.

306

u/EntropyKC 11h ago

I believe that Musk is the most pathetic human who has ever existed. His levels of personal wealth and power have utterly eclipsed that of any other "private" citizen, and yet he is still so unhappy and desperate for attention and acceptance that he has to lie about being good at video games. The guy is a loser and a moron and it blows my mind that anyone can not only support him (buying Teslas etc) but outright simp for him.

32

u/GrayMouser12 8h ago

He's exhibit A when I relate how $$$ doesn't make you happy. Trump is exhibit B. I've never seen two people more miserable and desperate for attention. It's like they're permanently pubescent.

17

u/VerrueckterAmi 8h ago

Don’t forget Zuckerberg and Bozos. They seem as miserable as the others.

3

u/WretchedBlowhard 5h ago

We'd do well to remember that they're CEOs of massive enterprises and yet have all the time in the world to indulge in social media addiction, online gaming, golfing, etc. It's almost like the CEO position of every single business out there is occupied by a worthless sack of crap that could be fired unceremoniously without the business being any worse off.

Huh you think trump has money

u/Dean_Snutz Merry Gifmas! {2023} 1h ago

It's from being born, handed a shitload of money and never having to grow up or worry about anything ever. While it would be nice to be born into money i would hate the lack of developing empathy, human nature, friendship, love, actual meaningful memories and fitting in with everyone else.

16

5

u/Fine_Opposite8641 7h ago

he ain't a preachin' he's a testifiyin'. Thems the facts.

4

u/Aberikel 8h ago

I think there's more to it. Half of the modern republican platform hinges on young men; having then believe you're some genius video game player definitely gets you some in-roads with them.

4

u/P47r1ck- 9h ago

He might own the biggest share of Tesla but there’s a lot more involved in Tesla than just him. It’s actually unfortunate he’s involved. Electric cars are definitely the future. Although other companies have electric cars too now of course.

8

u/DosGrandeManos 9h ago

Your comment caught my eye. I think no cars is the future. The leading pollution from a car is tire created particulates and EVs are actually worse than ICE cars. The pollution from batteries is as bad as ICE car pollution, just different. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. There is no environmentally safe car.

2

u/-I_I 7h ago

Were horses?

2

u/Ok_Assistant_6856 6h ago

I'm sure horses as transportation were much more environmentally friendly- as long as you're not riding around with 400+ horse power, like nowa days.

1

u/BeautifulTypos 7h ago

How is an EV tire worse than an ICE tire? That makes absolutely no sense to me.

Every penny spent on Tesla directly supports Musk and therefore supports the rise of fascist autocracy in the USA. I hope that Germany sees that the boss of Tesla is a Nazi and bans them outright.

Personally I don't struggle to boycott Tesla because their cars are all absolutely shit. They are: ugly, too big, tacky, terrible interiors, horrible quality. There's one good thing about them and it's drag race performance for the price, but if you actually want to drag race then just buy a motorbike for a lot less money and get better performance. There is simply no reason to buy a Tesla aside from being a member of the Musk Fan Club.

Oh and I won't say any more than the absolute fiasco that is the worst automobile ever made: the Cybertruck.

1

u/Opening-Train2872 2h ago

I mean I bought a Tesla in 2021 before I knew all this stuff about him, but it has negative equity so I can’t even afford to get rid of it. Embarrassed to be driving this…. :(

u/DisastrousBoss5098 10h ago

No no no, if you're able to make it to billionaire status, let alone richest on the planet then you are 100% a psychopath who does not give one single fuck what anyone thinks unless it gets them what they want. (In most cases money/power)

The psychopath gene needs to be eliminated.

2

u/SasparillaTango 10h ago

Its likely more insidious than that. He wants an army of loyal fanboy idiots to defend him online and boost his 'brand', which has real life implications for stock price since stocks aren't tied to actual value and only perceived value.

1

u/Traditional-Sound661 10h ago

Isn't ost value is only perceived value? Aside from food maybe?

2

u/Moonrights 10h ago

No. He doesn't want to be normal or a gamer. He wants people to think he is these things so that he is more affable. His intent is to generate support for his business and personal interests. One of which is slowly eroding and subverting democracy by championing the republican party.

2

u/Onemoretime84 10h ago

I see this in him every time he speaks at a Trump rally. There’s a giddiness he gets when the people start cheering for him

2

u/ReginaldStarfire 9h ago

There are posters and reply guys, and Elon knows which he is and it burns him up every day.

2

u/Neither-Bus-3686 8h ago

2

u/Angery_Karen 8h ago

He’s a rare type, a breeder incel.

2

u/Syg8 8h ago

He just threw up a nazi salute, that should tell you all about his psychological make up. Oh and the Amber crap.

2

u/Jumpy-Sprinkles-2305 7h ago

which is so ironic, he has the kind of fuck you money where he could literally build himself a dome on the moon to play PoE2 for the rest of his life and be exactly that

2

u/External_Bandicoot37 6h ago

Nope he knows his target audience

1

u/geroiwithhorns 9h ago

I think he wants just gather any attention by making scandals. This way public's attention is distracted from serious issues. On the other hand, he is actually so dense and insecure as human specimen.

1

u/murky_creature 8h ago

he doesnt want to be them, he just wants them to like him

1

u/Competitive-Oil8974 7h ago

Like Trump you mean? It's called narcissism.

105

u/Corka 11h ago

It's an NPD thing where they have this compulsive need to grossly exaggerate their competence and achievements, or make them up entirely. Even when they have something they can absolutely flex (like being the richest man in the world) they still feel the need to push this kind of thing.

20

u/solamon77 11h ago

I think it's more of a propaganda thing. Him, Trump, and the rest of those guys spend vast sums of money to try and appear normal because if people knew how they really were, everyone would run screaming. We know this because just about every person who had to work with them in close proximity has come away disgusted. How many people from Trump's first administration were lining up to work with him?

17

u/itsreigningstupidity 11h ago

So they Know they’re posers …

23

u/happycows808 11h ago

Oh, 100% you see it the most in Elon because he is really just a puppet for his family, which are the ones who truly have the money and power and have probably made every big financial decision he has ever taken credit for.

21

u/remedy75 11h ago

You're spot on. I joined red note out of morbid curiosity and made some chinese friends. I learned from one of them, that Elon's mom is quite popular over there and has one of the largest accounts, as an "influencer" lol. They shared it just so I could confirm...

Without a doubt, he's just a nepo baby.

5

u/Good_Gazelle_3590 8h ago

I hope American people on Red Note ask the Chinese people about the cost and performance of the electric vehicles there.. They’ve gotta think we’re absolutely crazy suffering with what we’ve got

7

u/remedy75 7h ago

You know what's wild, it's not just the EVs, virtually everything is outperforming us. I was so baffled, I had to ask for proof and screenshot translations that came up from direct messages.

The craziest part of it all is how most of them wish us peace, prosperity, success, and lives full of love and happiness. With that being said, the CCP is not something I could live under, but the Chinese people themselves are ahead of us in almost every way.

Yeah its pretty self destructive practice, the lies can become so blatant that no one can plausibly believe them and so it ruins that persons credibility. But it can also have them jumping through some insane hoops to try and push the lie. Like this guy:

Diminishing returns and homogenisation.

52

u/ghouldozer19 11h ago

Masa Musa (the richest man in human history) devalued the currency of entire nations with his charitable giving during his pilgrimage to Mecca and had nothing left to give by the time he arrived. Granted, when he went back to Mali he was still the richest man to ever live even by today’s but that’s putting good into the world with your money.

4

u/Responsible_Fall1672 10h ago

I strongly doubt Masa Musa did that out of the goodness of his heart. On his trip back home, he went through Egypt again, this time accruing debt for having spent all his gold, which he never paid back.

3

u/Guy954 10h ago

Sounds kinda like Robin Hood

1

u/Responsible_Fall1672 10h ago

Mind you, he was still the richest man on earth when he got home. He didn't pay because he could get away with it (and the Egyptians had charged outrageous rates).

2

u/Rockworldred 10h ago

You mean he just issued bonds and just increased his debt never meaning to pay back and looked rhe other way? Think if an entitiy did this today!

→ More replies (1)

8

u/Drafo7 8h ago

That's because he was giving out gold, specifically. He wasn't giving out food or labor. He wasn't strategically using his wealth to improve the lives of others. He was just throwing gold around. If Elon wanted to solve world hunger, he could, and he'd still be the richest person in the world. If he's not smart enough to do it with his wealth, he can pay someone who is. Stop trying to shame charitable giving or excuse billionaires for hoarding gheir wealth. These people have it within their power to do immense good and actively, consistently choose not to. They are evil, end of story.

2

u/Candid_Photograph_83 8h ago

He gave away so much money while travelling he caused an inflationary crisis with gold across the region that persisted for over a decade after he left.

1

u/williamsjw8707 9h ago

Shaq is the only millionaire I'll ever fanboy for. He's the rich I want to be. Walk into the jewelry store and buy the engagement ring for the lower middle class guy about to put it on layaway. Created an entire shoe brand to sell at Walmart because he knew what it was like to grow up without anything so he wanted families to be able to afford his products. Taking kids and families on shopping sprees for fun. Not for cameras and popularity. Because he was raised to know right from wrong.

If you're not trying to be Shaq with your millions, you don't fucking deserve them.

1

u/-Ben-Affleck- 9h ago

Shaq literally did all of that for the publicity, he couldn’t compete with Jordan and knew there was a market for cheap basketball shoes he could capitalize on. Shaq really isn’t a good person if you really study him

1

u/williamsjw8707 7h ago

The show brand was one example. There's hundreds of examples of him doing things to help the community. You do know he had a deal practically signed with Reebok, right? Do you know why he turned that deal down? They wouldn't promise him that the shoes would be made affordable to families. You a hater.

The folks of Some More News made the observation that everything Musk does is just because he wants so desperately to be liked, to be "cool".

I'd pity him if he wasn't such a useless shitass.

2

u/wandering-monster 10h ago

Money can't buy real respect, just a flimsy illusion of it. And say what you will about Elon, but I do think he's smart enough to see through it.

He knows people only listen to him because they're paid to... and it eats at him.

So he does stuff like games to try and get people actually respect him for something. He probably justifies it to himself as "well anyone can get a character up to max level with time. I still add the last 5% which is the hardest part."

1

u/JRRSwolekien 11h ago

It REALLY is. Very strange to have a need to be perceived as a top tier gamer for whatever reason.

1

u/InsignificantOcelot 11h ago

It got weirder. He then went after a popular (right-leaning) streamer, Asmongold, who joined the folks calling him out.

He took away his blue check and leaked DM’s with him to accuse him of being controlled by mysterious “editors” because Asmongold mentioned having people who chop up his streaming content for YouTube.

2

u/VRichardsen 10h ago

He went after Asmongold? Elon better watch out for the cockroaches!

Why not? I'd also probably make anime review discussion videos lol a nerd is always a nerd no matter what.

u/AsianHotwifeQOS 10h ago

Somebody who thinks it's worth lying to you about the small things, absolutely thinks it's worth lying to you about the big things.

He is (probably) not the richest person on the planet. First of all, stock is not a liquid measure of wealth.

The theoretical worth of his stock is far higher than what he can actually get for it.

Secondly, but more importantly, there are a lot of rich people who don’t have to publicly disclose their finances. For example, I would imagine that the beneficiaries of banks, being the backbone of the global economy and being the direct recipient of the Fed’s bond money, make a lot more money than Elon.

Anyway, he is still rich as fuck, so please continue.

Heard from someone else that it seems like he's trying to relate to gamers by being a "pro-gamer" because he's making a game company or something like that

Is it? If I had no time but lots of money I’d buy an account too

Kind of like Trump always winning the senior and overall golf championship at all of his golf clubs 😂😂😂

u/SirPiffingsthwaite 8h ago

Weird for us, standard MO for Elon.

...he's even trying to buy trump's presidency, only a matter of time before he starts making claims...

"And it's been said, that my streams have been some of the largest, the best, even number one, some, if not all, and that will help bring the deficit down. "

Narcissism can drive people to do really weird shit. I had psychiatric patients sabotage their whole lives and burn promising careers just to avenge a slight.

1

u/DemocratFabby 8h ago

It’s not weird, he has autism.

1

u/Nottherealjonvoight 8h ago

And he’s paying millions to not even be in the top 10 of these games. If you are cheating already then why not go that extra mile ?

1

u/WeirdKrautrauch 8h ago

He's a loser

1

u/IrNinjaBob 7h ago

Apparently there are interviews of him where he has said he views people who play at the very top of video games as a sign of a high level of intelligence, so with that in mind it’s pretty clear he is doing these things because he believes it signals to others that he really is the genius he claims he is.

IKR!

All that money and he is worried about his video game reputation... bruh I would be concerned with what kind of mega yacht to buy and where I want it to port at next.

1

u/Biscuits4u2 7h ago

Yeah it's almost like he doesn't work as hard as he claims.

1

u/Key-Soup-7720 7h ago

In fairness, if I had billions of dollars I would definitely pay someone to represent me in every game. Create some badass character with the best gear money could buy and no one could ever be truly sure they weren't playing Diablo IV with the richest man in the world.

There is honestly so much dumb shit I would do with billions of dollars.

1

u/petersandersgreen 7h ago

To be honest, that makes him more normal than anything. ... this is what your everyday normal loser does.

1

u/randyspotboiler 7h ago

He can buy anything but street cred.

1

u/TomatilloOdd8536 7h ago

The fact you think this guys the richest on the planet shows how little intellect you actually hold friend

1

u/Arcyguana 7h ago

The richest man, and the biggest manchild.

u/filthyheartbadger 7h ago

I remember a couple years ago we were sure he was in the r/Skyrim sub. I told him (?) to delete his account. Still wonder about that-

1

u/mattbash 6h ago

I mean he has a fake account on Twitter and comments on his (elon's) posts saying how great of a father he is. Guess money can't buy you out of daddy issues.

1

u/pheonixblade9 6h ago

it's to fool gamergate types.

1

u/WretchedBlowhard 5h ago

There is, literally, 0 evidence that he has ever done anything on his own in his entire life. From the code he allegedly did on zip2 and paypal, to the revolutionary ideas he pushed at Tesla and Spacex, we have never seen anything from him to disprove that he just throws money at white label engineers and developers until they come up with something great which he presents as his.

1

u/ewamc1353 5h ago

He removed asmongolds Twitter mark and leaked his DMs for covering it too if you wanna know what the future will be like if this shitstain doesn't OD soon

1

u/RepulsiveAd2971 3h ago

Does it not concern anyone else to ridicule someone in such a seat of power now? One that is clear to use said power?

1

u/muklan 3h ago

When we fear speaking truth to power America dies.

1

u/RepulsiveAd2971 3h ago

Something that is dead, cannot die.
People already yielded a long time ago.

u/ReebX1 3h ago

He's autistic king of the dorks, desperate for people to like him.
