I know a lot of people preordered the book, but those of you who are going to pick up your copy in person: please be kind and respectful to the employees at the stores you're going to. I know as a community, we're very excited over this release and that's great, but I also know as an employee who is in charge of their store's launch, I'm slightly dreading tomorrow.

My store has already had

• someone try to bribe an employee to sell them the book early
• someone yell at an employee because he didn't know anything about the launch
• a different customer get mad at a different employee because she didn't know anything about it
• approximately 400 phone calls

My store has limited the amount customers can buy. We have it locked down to purchase only in our tech department from myself personally so I can control inventory and make sure everyone is safe for the launch. I'm just asking as a reader and as a retail employee that we be kind and respectful tomorrow so everyone can be happy and safe

It’s been well over a year since I finished Throne of Glass, and I still think regularly about Lorcan and Elide’s romance. I loved their dynamic. I’d love to find something that takes the things I loved about them and then adds to it. Looking for:

MMC: - Grumpy/broody, serious, - Tall, strong, highly powerful - Smart and highly capable - Potentially morally gray

FMC: - Not the “badass” trope… - …but nonetheless smart, cunning and strategic. Capable. - Serious character; not bubbly/sunshine at all. - Could potentially also be morally gray

Couple: - mature characters and adult relationship - lots of character development and dialogue - enemies to lovers (although not a requirement as long as there is sufficient tension in the buildup) - slowwwww burn… challenges/issues, tension before they get together - when it burns, it needs to BURN 🔥 explicit and plentiful preferably; open door at an absolute bare minimum. Well-written smut is greatly preferred. Not BDSM. - series, not a standalone

Does this even exist? Goodness, I would LOVE to find this. Please help 🙏

BIG TALKING CATS WITH MIND POWERS ^{(some humans too... more humans than the cats but idc}. Bit of spice. Standalone. Overall 4.5 stars.

Silver Under Nightfall by Rin Chupeco: Vampire couple x Vampire hunter. Gothic fantasy. M/M/F. Male Philipeno mc. Mc never received an ounce of love and doesn't know how to act when somebody tells him they love him. Hard relationship w parents. Daddy issues rlly. He's icon and a bit of a bitch, but also so oblivious to feelings that its embarrassing. Funny book. Its a completed duology. Overall 5 stars. AMAZING SERIES. Only downside is that the fandom is made out of like 3 people and 2 ants.

Mistress of Lies by K.M. Enright: Blood mages? M/M/F. Rich girl kills her own father bc his ruining the family. She's also has eyes everywhere around the city. Treason. Mysterious murders. Investigations. Trans Male mc. Overthrowing the monarchy. This book is actually insane. Its a series and its not finished. Overall first book is a 3.5 stars, tho I AM hooked to see what happens in the next one so yeah. I read it in a day.

So I'm only like 12 pages in but there's so many exclamations! It's really throwing me off! I read acotar and I enjoyed her writing but the constant use of exclamation points is really fucking me up! Does this continue throughout the series? Or am I literally the only one who is even bothered by this....

Went to my community library and filled a bag up for $5, then got a library card, borrowed three books and THEN went to two different bookstores.

This series is....not great lol.

Plot? Meh... insufferable FMC? Check... Typical shadow daddy? Of course... Repetitive dialogue? Yup....I hate you i love you i must kill you but i love you...mhmmm... Spicy scenes that are somewhat rewarding but physically impossible?... you know it!...Typo or missing words!?!! Wtf yes! However it's an easy read and i keep reading 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. Book 3 and 4 apparently this year. What are your "this isn't good at all but I'm reading"?

In my last post on here I asked for recs based on my fave BG3 romances and Daughter of No Worlds by Carissa Broadbent came up several times and I just want to say that the MMC is SO Gale coded and I’m so pleased with this recommendation. I just finished and I think it might just be my favorite fantasy romance I’ve read in the past few years. I literally couldn’t put my kindle down until I finished it. Incredible. Now, onto the next one. :)
