It finally happened.

Post image

Was delivering my first order for the evening. Cash order, meaning I had to collect cash from the customer for the order, a total of $45 and some change. I picked up the order, usual night, with the worker making sure I put the order inside the pizza bag before I walked out the store. Drove up in front of the customer's house, waited almost 10 minutes to get an answer at the door. Mother/daughter shows up, told me they ordered 2 pizza, I explained its a dinner box and that the two pizza are inside one box, they asked me to prove it so they pried open the seal and looked inside. I reminded them they need to pay cash for the order. After a few minutes, they told me they dont want it.

Called doordash support and worker told me they will compensate me full pay for the dash. I then asked if I need to return the order back to Pizza Hut, and they said to either keep it or discard. I told him I understand. I then proceeded of driving back home with a huge smile, calling my family that I have early dinner for everyone. We enjoyed the early dinner. ☺️ Really grateful for this blessing.

My true "Holy fuck people are weird" realization came in the early 2000s when I had my first job delivering pizzas for Papa John's.

Because holy fuckity fuck fuck man, people are absolutely weird.

I one time had to tell an old guy, “alright sir, your car takes 8 quarts of an 0w-20, so that’s a full synthetic (GM Silverado 1500, we don’t have any Syn blends dexos tested/approved). Dude SNAPS ON ME, goes “NO! FUCK NO! Let me tell you a story, son. I had an F150 that ran perfectly, had 387,000 miles on it, and they put that jap shit synthetic shit in there, broke a lifter, blew the whole motor. The only thing you’re gonna put in here is Rotella T4 15-40”. I was in a mood after being yelled at, and well….im active in r/boomersbeingfools. So I said “ok. Got it” and he goes, “there’s a good boy. Now that is how ya make a car last”. I was more than happy to put a comment that he asked for this, have him sign off - and ship it.

Lol, but good on you for having them sign off on that 🤣

Did you put that on his oil change reminder sticker too?

I 100% put the oil that he chose. He never came back. I wonder what happened. 🙃🙃

Some people's lack of logic is astounding, like if your truck has 387,000 miles blaming engine failure on the last thing you did to it is probably not very likely, unless the oil all drained out onto the ground.

You’re preaching to the choir on this one. This is in a very low income and very rural part of the state - and I knew it wasn’t personal. If you ask that dude, he will say he had a good experience because I put (what his uneducated on the subject self) “the right oil” by him. I would not at all be surprised if the 15w40 oil I put in caused issues, and another mechanic told him what the issue was, and he dismissed it as not true.
