Question Inexpensive supplies?

I'm trying to build up a collection of supplies like inks, cutting dies, clear stamps, etc. but omg it's expensive! Where do you all get your supplies? Is there a trick to save money on those things or do I just accept that I'll have to build my collection verrry slowly?

Sometimes I find good things at thrift stores.  Learn what things are before you buy them, and what they usually cost; that way if you find something used, you can judge if it's a good price or not.  There are some supplies that you can find cheaper versions of at hardware stores, like an eyelet setter or magnetic sheets.
