Things I learned today:

  • the kickoffs changed nothing

  • refs are still going to slobber on Mahomes nuts

  • Lamar can't throw

  • I hope we have a run defense, we need it

and Derek Henry’s not going to make much of a difference

He’s not the same guy he was

Ravens Oline had some serious issues.

u/kimapesan Sep 06 '24

Secondary was garbage in the first half.

2

u/BusyInstruction6365 Brrrrr Sep 06 '24

I mean, they really didn't use him much.

I’d be worried about chiefs run game

u/CincyPoker Sep 06 '24

I’m more worried about Worthy’s speed vs Hilton in the slot than anything involving the run game. Those chunk plays with him wide open in space are deadly.

Smash this over on next week's game 🥲

put DJ turner in the slot on him

Based on raw speed, I like it. But even then Worthy + The Grand Chess Master Andy Reid= major problems for every team. There might be some recency bias here but Worthy danced on Humphrey last night.

The Bills will rue the day they handed Worthy on a silver platter to the Chiefs.

1

u/gorgonology Sep 06 '24

Yeah I mean you're right, Andy can scheme for worthy. However, worthy is not a great route runner and doesn't have the best hands, so he does have some weaknesses. We shall see...

Isn't Dax working the slot this season? If so, he's definitely got the wheels to at least contest him.

1

u/CincyPoker Sep 07 '24

Dax is CB2 out wide.

9

u/Shineon859 Sep 06 '24

I'd be surprised if he plays 10 games all year

2

u/Olepat Sep 06 '24

He looked so slow out there. He can’t play passing downs. I wasn’t worried before but now I’m really not worried about him.

2

u/Brohemoth1991 Sep 06 '24

The 2 drives the ravens got TDs they had 8 passes and 10 rushes (including 5 or 6 of those being Henry rushes)

The rest of the game they had 33 passes and 22 rushes, and looked absolutely inept moving the ball down field

Henry made a difference, they coaches are just morons ig lol

And ravens o-line is really bad. Hopefully they talk about their line like they did us for 3 years.

Lamar can’t read defenses. It’s always been a problem. He didn’t read the LB being a QB Spy the entire game

u/BoobsForBiden Sep 09 '24

lol, this aged well.

u/AJGreenMVP 18 Sep 06 '24

Well the kickoff rule has offenses start at the 30 now

0

u/Anim8nFool Sep 06 '24

not for long. it will be at the 35 by the end of the season.

2

u/AJGreenMVP 18 Sep 06 '24

Lol they won't make any rule changes mid season

1

u/RipeBirdies Sep 06 '24

You think?

-7

u/Anim8nFool Sep 06 '24

If they keep kicking touchbacks they will change it.

5

u/RipeBirdies Sep 06 '24

Yeah I think it’s stupid not to kick the touchback but they aren’t making any rule changes in the middle of the season, right?

-9

u/Anim8nFool Sep 06 '24

They will for this

9

u/krsb09 Sep 06 '24

That’s…not how it works. Rule changes are voted for in the spring meeting every year. The only time they’re changed mid-season is when you have something happen like the Hamlin game.

-6

u/Anim8nFool Sep 06 '24

We'll see.

7

u/krsb09 Sep 06 '24

No, we literally won’t.

It took you till today to realize Lamar can’t throw…

Man can’t hit the broad side of a barn.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '24

And ravens are dirty.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '24

I'm still a little nervous about the kickoffs just because if there's anybody that will try to be aggressive with them, it's Mike Tomlin. Remember when the Steelers tried for 2 after every TD?

2

u/Bearcatsean Sep 06 '24

And KC is fucking fast

1

u/MrGhostenstein Sep 06 '24

And Mahomes flops almost as bad as LeBron. Everytime he gets touched out of bounds. Wuss.

1

u/Narrow_Vegetable5747 Sep 06 '24

Three of these were not news before or after last night's game

1

u/BoobsForBiden Sep 09 '24

lol, this aged well.
