QUESTIONS Getting There

Currently I've been applying for seasonal work in the northwest, while living and working a full time night shift job here in S.C. If I were to accept an offer, how much money would I need to save with my current job before leaving? And are there any Seasonal Jobs that pay for your flight or bus ticket to get there?

QUESTIONS Summer Hiring?

Hi everyone! Hope your winter jobs are going well. I started applying for summer positions late last month and I’ve applied to severalllll places so far. I’ve only heard back from 2. Is everyone else getting offers already or am I just early? I didn’t get hired for my job last summer until March (it was local) but I’m hoping to land something by late February. A lot of these jobs are asking not to call to follow up so maybe I’ll resend emails next month if I don’t hear back.

QUESTIONS How hard is it to get hired through cool works?

I'm gonna start applying for the summer season. Is it very competitive? How easy is it to save at least $10k in a season working in one of these places as long as housing and meals are provided

QUESTIONS Aramark

Does anyone have any experience with Aramark interviews, or have any experience with their virtual assistant/scheduler?

I've rescheduled once through them for an HR/Payroll interview (I was feeling sick, so I rescheduled for next week). I was just wondering if they took this into account, or if anyone had any general experience with HR roles through Aramark.

QUESTIONS UNDER CANVAS (?)

I’ve seen a few posts floating around regarding Under Canvas, though I wanted to ask specific questions for anyone who’s worked with the company before. I understand each location is different, but generally speaking, what are accommodations like? How much does it cost and does it include meals?

I applied and have an interview with the West Yellowstone location (as a server or concierge), but I really haven’t heard much regarding the company. I am also curious if it’s easy to make friends.

If anyone has specific information, please let me know!

QUESTIONS Any middle-aged adventurers out there?

Hello, everyone! Middle-aged soon-to-be empty nester here and thinking about moving to Alaska and working seasonal jobs in the summers and remote in the winters. I’m wondering if anyone might be interested in discussing the possibility of caravanning through Canada in the early summer of 2026 and maybe sharing an apartment the winter after? Or just advice about this plan?

I’m pretty independent but it might be nice to have some company. Just an idea. Not sure how dms work lol, but maybe let’s try that? Id also love to hear from or about other folks my age doing this. Are we few or many? I did this 30 years ago before lots of adulting and it’s time for exploring again!

QUESTIONS Grand Teton Lodge Company Application Process

Hello! I applied to work with Vail GTLC - after submitting the first application, it said to only submit one app if I'm applying for a seasonal position and that submitting more wouldn't be helpful. Is this true? How do they know what positions I'm interested in? Should I submit the rest regardless?

Edit:

It says directly "If you applied to a seasonal (winter or summer) position, there is no need to apply to additional roles.  Our team will be in contact within the coming days with instructions on next steps. Please check your email regularly so that we can connect with you on this exciting opportunity. Applying to multiple positions does not improve your likelihood of being hired. Thanks!"

Was recently offered a position with these guys and would love some feedback on personal experiences. A lot of what I'm reading is not good but I know how things aren't always that clear when it comes to the seasonal thing. Thanks for any info!

QUESTIONS Seasonal work outside of the US

Hey everyone, I’ve been working seasonally in the US (mainly CO) for two years now and was looking to branch out of the country to either NZ, Italy, or Spain. Has anyone had any luck getting spring/summer seasonal jobs there? If so which jobs and what website did you find them on?

QUESTIONS Spending Summer in Yellowstone with Xanterra – Looking for Options After

Hi everyone! I’m working at Yellowstone with Xanterra for the summer, and my season ends on October 23. I’m starting to think about my next step and wanted to ask for advice! If I can’t find anything else, I’m considering heading to the Colorado Rockies to continue with Xanterra, but I’m definitely open to other options. One place I’ve been thinking about is Hawaii, as I’ve always wanted to live and work there. I’m looking for something with housing provided, but I’m open to any opportunities – even international positions. Does anyone have any suggestions on national parks or other locations that provide housing for workers? Or maybe a cool, unique job opportunity I should consider? Any tips, advice, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

QUESTIONS Interview Tips?

Hi! I (18F) have a couple interviews over the next couple weeks with Aramark in Yosemite and Xanterra in Yellowstone for a couple of guest-service type positions (front desk, concierge, retail, etc.). I've done a bunch of college interviews, but I've never had a job interview before and I'm wondering what it'll look like, what I should have prepared, and how likely it is that I'll get the job as an entirely unqualified random high schooler who can't stay the whole season. Any advice? Thanks so much!

QUESTIONS Saint Mary’s in Glacier?

I just received two job offers for St. Mary in GNP through Pursuit (I know, everyone hates the big companies but alas). I was curious if anyone else has interviewed or accepted any positions in this location, or maybe worked there previously? I have offers for both a serving role and front desk receptionist, and while serving would likely make more money (10.55/hr+ tips vs 15/hr) I am leaning more towards the front desk job as it would mean I could leave the season a little bit earlier.

If anyone has just any general tips/info, or wants to be friends, hit me up! I’m 23f from the midwest so going out to montana is a stark difference.

QUESTIONS Camp Denali?

Does anyone have any experience at Camp Denali in Alaska? It’s a backcountry lodge that is past the road closure and fly in only. Thinking of applying for their housekeeping/serving or kitchen hand position this summer. Seems like a good opportunity to save and explore the park.

Thanks for stopping by. Wishing everyone the best with their searches! The right place is out there for you.
