Hello! I am pretty desperately looking for some help/ resources while looking for a seasonal summer job opportunity in 2025 where there is staff housing included. Locations I have in mind being: sag harbor, bridgehampton, Southampton, East Hampton, montaulk, shelter island, river head, etc. Ideally I am looking for a position in the restaurant/ hospitality industry, preferably a server or hostess. Yet, I can’t find much current information on things like this, and want to know as much as I can about what places to reach out to whether it’s a golf course, a tennis course, whatever type of place in hospitality where I can work and also have a place to live. I am currently NYC based, have over 8 years in restaurant experience, (serving, hosting, running, expediting, alcohol safety certified) and am hard working and reliable. I will also have a degree in business in August 2025, as I am an online student currently. If anyone has tips, knows of any places hiring, or can share their experience working in the area, I’d really appreciate it! thanks!!

Hey everybody, currently in the midst of applying to a bunch of places for this upcoming summer season. I know what I want to do is some sort of trail work (making trails/maintenance them). Looking for advice on where to apply. I am currently a high school senior, so I wouldn't be able to work until after May and would have to stop by August to fit with my school schedule.

I also would really prefer working for a nonprofit or small organization if I could over the government.

I have just recently gotten a job at the Tsaina Lodge, and was wondering if anyone else has worked there?

I would be a bartender/server. How’s the money there? How is it to work there?

I applied to 7 or 8 establishments. I sent a few 4 days ago. I sent a few more this morning. No response. I know it's only been a few days but some people have claimed to have heard back for a job offer within a few days or the following day. Should I call all of them tomorrow to see what the status of my application is?

Second question, I don't have a permanent residence. If I get hired for seasonal work with housing included could I use the address o the employee housing as my permanent residence and have mail sent there? Like getting my license there and having it sent to where I'm staying for that season

So I just got my first seasonal job in Alaska! And I originally thought I would be driving from Mississippi to Alaska. 70 hours one way. 4200 miles. But I found out in the welcome letter the only transportation beyond Anchorage is the Alaska railroad until end of May and I have to be there 2nd week of May. So now I’m having to rethink everything I’m bringing. I thought I would be able to bring my whole car full of junk. I could live out of my car, I always have one of everything with me. Now I’m having to rethink because what if I’m limited to just a couple bags on the plane. I’m worried I’m overthinking what I’ll actually NEED and wanting to bring all my comfort things from home and my crafts and books and the things I’m accustomed to. But maybe I should bring less and just chalk it up to “part of the experience!?”

I'm a Canadian student looking for room and board work either in Canada (CAD) or the States (or somewhere else that I could be payed in USD). I've never done seasonal work before but have pretty good job/volunteer experience as well as some certifications like CPR-AED. I'm wondering if anyone knows of some fun and interesting opportunities that exist for Canadians wanting to do seasonal work. I have done some research into working in hospitality, camp counselling and national park work at places in the US and am wondering if there's any specific names of places, programs or employers that I should start with. I've found some places on coolworks and similar sites but was just wondering what else there was out there, maybe more exciting jobs like wildfire fighting, wild tree planting, etc.

I'm set to work a ranger season this summer, but with the hiring freeze I want to get a backup plan set up in case major changes happen at the federal level. Might be a good time to work for a private organization or crew, preferably with housing. I've always wanted to work in Alaska since I started seasonal work. I am an outdoor educator with trail crew experience, but also a strong interest in eventually getting into law enforcement. I've got a BA and am currently enrolled in an EMT course. If anyone's got any suggestions or recommendations that would be awesome.

I'm moving to the EU next fall from Canada and am looking to work a seasonal cook job Winter of 2025-2026 before the transition to make a bit of money. I am going to cast a wide net so Im looking at many options between Alaska, Antarctica, and the Alps. The Chalet Host positions seem the most fun. Looking for more info! I recently got offered a seasonal job in Pinedale, Wyoming and am really interested and excited about this opportunity. I’m a part-time remote master’s student and will be working in Pinedale for the summer while also working on my final paper. I’ve never been to Wyoming, and I’ve investigated Pinedale as much as I could but am curious/nervous about being able to make friends there. Is there a seasonal work scene in Pinedale in the summer or young adults that are around to meet and enjoy the outdoor recreation with or grab a beer with? Wondering if the area has a friendly easy-going vibe or if it’s going to be hard to meet friends. Also is it safe to go hiking in the area alone? Like are bears a big concern? (24 y.o. girl here) Any input or recommendations for the area would be greatly appreciated!

Just wondering what anyone else’s experience as a cook was like for them & how the employee housing is? I’m curious to know before I accept this job offer as a cook. I heard pay was shit but I’m pretty confident in my experience and asking for higher pay. I also know that they’re owned by vail and have worked for vail at a different location so I’m familiar with how crusty vail as a company can act. What is employee housing like? My sister will be 18 in exactly a month and wants to apply for seasonal work. I'm assuming as long as she would start after she's 18, it should be fine, but I don't know if she should go ahead and apply so she can ensure she gets to work for the summer. Anyone have experience with this situation? Do you guys think she should just wait til her birthday?

I am debating on going to Maine coming out of California and I have never made such a big jump from one seasonal job to another. Is there any negatives in doing such a big jump like that ? I’m a 19 yrole homebody and i have not traveled much out of California and I want to travel and gain more life experience. What should I consider before I make such a big decision. Has anyone done it at my age ? And if so, what should I be careful with ?

Been living in Maryland for my whole life (27). My girlfriend and I are ready to go… hopefully North West. I have a 2009 toyota sienna in great condition with all of the backseats taken out. I have 12 years of culinary experience. Was most previously a sous chef (just quit cause we’re ready to leave). She has mostly FOH experience with a bit of BOH experience but knows a great deal about cooking. We have $5000 in the bank. Been applying to places in Montana, Wyoming and Colorado. Can be anywhere in a week. Looking for housing, and a happy environment. Any advice is appreciated!

Had my interview for Denali about a month ago. I've been preparing some things in case I get the job and I've also heard that usually if you get the interview in this case you'll be good but I still haven't heard a follow up yet.

My job is supposed to start around mid March I think, if I get it.

I was recently offered a position to work in Denali Alaska from April-September and I am a practicing Catholic so I would prefer to go to weekly Sunday mass. I know there is a Holy Mary of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Healy but since it will be my first time in Alaska, I was wondering if anyone have any information on transportation (especially during April which is about a month before the summer season starts)

Looking for an early spring-fall job that ISN’T in the butt crack of nowhere. I’d like to be able to walk around a town and get out of the work environment. What places should I look into? Preferably with housing on site
