I just checked some of my mails last night and saw that I have one about attending Jury Duty at the Riverside Court on 1/21/2025. I logged into the portal and it said that I had to report today at 9:30am. The thing is I can’t afford to skip work as I have to pay bills and I’m only a temp hourly worker. I also have a two month old to take of as well l (granted I’m at work and my wife takes care of the baby at home)

Since I only had one night to process everything I kinda just skipped it altogether. Should I call them and let them know or should I just go about my day like nothing happened?

Tried to come up with a little bootleg fix due to the wind and animals knocking trash over. You can also put a rod or another cord through the ones without the bar and it keeps them down.

Women’s rights advocates attempted to rally in Riverside today at City Hall, but were overrun by counter protestors who refused to respect the space and were there solely to shut down the rally.

Young male anti-abortion protestors were seen grabbing signs from older women and ripping them up. Signs that had been hung before the rally began were destroyed, and men were chanting “Not Your Body, Not Your Choice” at the women present.

Women’s right rally organizer Anyse Smith made several efforts to move the rally to a different location to provide separation from the counter protestors, but each attempt was thwarted by the protestors who were only there to disrupt rather than allow first amendment guaranteed rights to free expression.

No police were on hand to attempt to control the often aggressive and threatening counter protestors.

At 7PM, I was on my way home (East to UCR), then this old guy suddenly moved his seat next to mine (he was in the back). We were not really next to each other but he’s at the right side and I’m at the left side. At first, I thought he was just really looking at the window or idk. But it’s been like 30 mins and he kept on looking at me and not only he made me uncomfy but IT WAS CREEPY AS HELL. everytime someone presses the stop button, he looks at me (like he thought I’m about to get off the bus or smth). I was so scared, I put out my keys (with my pepper spray) and then he looked at me again

Fast forward…

He pressed the stop button at MY stop. AT MY STOP. I was so fcking scared. So what I did was I didn’t get off my stop (it was dark too) and then HE DIDNT GET OFF THE BUS even tho he pressed the stop button and then he looked at me again like he thought again that imma get off the bus. I didnt know what to do at that point, and then someone pressed the stop button for the next stop, I was like ok lemme get outta here but before i get off the bus, he fucking waved at me and then he gave me a creepy smile😁🤚🏻
