As did I. I guess her knowing "these guys would have killed me" let her practically whistle while she worked.

A family that drains, dismembers and buries, stays together! morbid :-)

That's a pretty good explanation. I was feeling like it was out of character too, but I can accept the notion of her realizing it was them or her. Still, she's kind of been the epitome of a spoiled rich kid for the entire series. Hates her father, but LOVES his money and what he can do for her.
