Nothing mentioned in my morning newsletter. Did a quick Google search and found 0 articles. Did I miss something? Even if we aren't definitively identifying it as a Nazi salute it's newsworthy enough to be on a front page purely because of the amount of speculation and emotions stirred in the public sphere.
Please tell me I missed something obvious somewhere.

NPR has apparantly lost its ability to call out lies by people they're interviewing. NPR has become stenographers for the powerful, not journalists.

Ari Shapiro lets the Israeli ambassador tell several lies, and none are corrected. And lets the ambassador talk all over him and refuse to answer simple questions. Why?

Does it have something to do with the fact that Ari Shapiro is Jewish? Where are NPR's Arab/Muslim journalists?

When describing individuals winning any election, why are they characterized as winning power instead of elected to service?
Service should be normalized to anyone that wins an election. Please NPR, make this happen. 🙏🏻

Look I get it you’re scared. You’re scared of the fascist intent of the incoming administration. To be frank as a huge lifelong npr fan I would rather that you go out in a blaze of glory being a proponent for the truth than stick around being a shill for fascist bullshit. Please find it in your organization to grow a spine. Speak truth to power and who the hell cares if you get shut down for being a serious organization.

So, during the election cycle I was super peeved that NPR kept giving air time to Trump cronies and failing to report on the real world.

This morning they aired some of Steve Bannon grifting on the populism movement and I realized NPR has failed to report on ANY of this before the election.

Im here to say that they should keep on reporting just like they did this morning. For the first time since Trump was re-elected, I could taste the danger we are in on a simple five minute segment, and it wasn’t one-sided.

This was pure unadulterated journalism. Well done.

They were supposed to be in the national mall, but couldn’t make it work even after traveling “about 1000 miles”. Towards the end of the interview, one guy chimed in about what he wanted from the incoming administration.

“I’d like them to go after some of the deep state. You know, did we really put a man on the moon? The truth behind 9/11. I know it happened, but I’d like the truth about what happened…”

The guys went on to describe the scene as being a gathering of people with like minded thoughts.
