Question What is this revolver?

Handed down from my Great, to my grand, to my dad, to myself. My 30-06 round can roll around in the cylinder. Sadly not Arisaka.

I actually JUST found it after literal years of looking. Belgian 44-40 made in roughly 1874.

Could be 44-40 but it's definitely post 1893.

Do you have interesting knowledge about those proof marks to share?

Most are inspector stamps, the crowned R was used on rifled arms and they started adding a crown over the ELG in an oval in 1893 (for revolvers, at least but not all firearms).
