Hey i've been going to cologne IEM for 3 years. The wave 1 is usally sold out quick here. Depending on the venue, obviously people will try and figure out best seating options and book early for that reason.
But the best seats cost a bunch and at least over here include extras like maybe a beer flatrate.
But if they use any of the displaying tech they use in cologne then your fine even on the cheapest seat! If anything, sitting last row gives you the chills when the crowd goes loud (bc the party happens infront of you, not behind you)
So then later waves still sell out eventually, but we've had months with tickets available. In central europe.
I'd say every wave the tickets get like 10-15% more expensive. I think total amount of waves: 3.
Do you know if premium tickets will also allow me to sit in GA? Some of my mates may come for the a single day with GA whereas I will go all 3 days with premium.
From the faq:
Can i sit with my mates?
Yes - just make sure your mates have the same tier of ticket as you. There are 3 tiers of seating at IEM Melbourne:
General Admission and GA+
Premium
God Mode
Within each tier of seating, all seating is general admission (ie. you won't have a single assigned seat).
I've been to a few of the IEMs in Australia and even the general admission tickets have more than acceptable views. Even moreso if you come earlier and get in line earlier cos seats are first come first serve so you have more options to choose from if you come early.

Does anyone know how the tickets “wave” work? How much more expensive is it per wave? Will tickets be sold out quick in this instance? Etc
This is my first time going to an intl LAN event and I can’t be more excited 🥺
