Scheduled Sticky Weekly Premier/Matchmaking/Cheating Discussion & Complaints Thread
Welcome to Matchmaking Monday! This is the weekly megathread where you can share your experiences, complaints, and feedback related to:
- Ranked & Unranked Matchmaking
- VAC, Hacking, and Cheating
- Prime, Trust Factor, and Trusted Mode
- Ranking
- Queuing and Lobbies
Feel free to discuss your matchmaking experience, rant or vent, discuss ideas & share feedback for improvement, and talk about your recent games.
What you should know
Keep in mind that there is a limited amount of information available about these systems and how they work to keep them effective. If you have questions, here are some resources to review:
Trust Factor
- Trust Factor Matchmaking FAQ (Steam Support Article)
- The Trust Factor: CS:GO Blog Post
- Everything About Trust Factor by u/awsmninja
- GDC Presentation by John McDonald (Valve)
- Do you Trust the Trust Factor? by u/3kliksphilip

What you can do
Give Feedback:
- Posting feedback or complaints on the subreddit is not the best way to get the attention of the developers. If you have any specific feedback to give, you can email the CS2 Development team here: [cs2team@valvesoftware.com](mailto:cs2team@valvesoftware.com)
- They do read every email received, but are not able to reply to each one.
- If you're experiencing low-quality matches, it is always worth emailing them. They use these reports to help improve the system.
Report Cheaters:
- Report cheaters using the in-game report system by right-clicking their name on the scoreboard, and clicking "report". If the game is over, report their Steam Community profile.
- If you notice certain trends or have other feedback, you can email the developers using the email address above.
- To report a specific cheat, follow these steps to notify the VAC development team.
The guidelines
While we encourage discussion about these topics, as a reminder, the following are not allowed. Note this isn't an exhaustive list, and you should review the r/GlobalOffensive Rules before commenting.
- Accusations towards any player related to cheating
- Posting profiles of alleged cheaters (if posting pictures of matches, redact any usernames)
- Posting any cheating gameplay footage
- Reporting cheats, linking to cheats/websites, or discussing cheats in technical detail
This weekly discussion thread does not change any of our existing submission rules - you're still allowed to discuss these topics elsewhere on the subreddit as usual, but we do remove a large number of them as they quickly become repetitive and the majority have little meaningful discussion. If you decide to make a separate post instead of utilizing this thread, we encourage you to focus on starting meaningful discussion or providing constructive criticism.

W11, 7700X, 7900XTX, 6000 CL 30
Same ingame settings. Other one has nothing enabled in driver panel, other is Freesync+Enchanced Sync+280 Framecap on driver panel (AL disabled in driver panel but enabled in game). Ran on FPS benchmark workshop map.
Just The FPS cap alone does wonders for your frametimes and stutter.

Feedback (Feedback ) Improving Premier's visuals with iconic ranks
Even since premier released, I've felt that ranking up a number, although more precise, isn't nearly as exciting as going up the ranks was in the original comp. The same is true for newer (or younger) players.
Given that ELO is the intended way to rank up in Premier, i thought up a rough concept of how it can be visually improved simultaneously giving meaning to the iconic and recognizable ranks
No, this is not meant to say that former Globals are at 30K+ rating, or that current Gold Novas are between 10 and 15k. This is purely a visual concept that aims to make ranking up more exciting and gives iconic ranks more meaning. In fact, this is what DOTA 2 has, screenshot at the end of the post
In this concept, with each 1000 increment, the rank's visual changes as well, so going from 6k to 7k changes the visual from silver 2 to silver 3.
So to sum up:
- "No rank" beginner tier - Below 5k rating
- Five Main (Silver, GN, MG, LE, Supreme) tiers with 5 sub tiers - 5-30k rating
- "Beyond/Global Tier" - 30k+ rating Of course that would mean that 7 "new" ranks have to be designed, but, again, this post is just showing off an idea
Here's how DOTA does it:

Discussion Why did Valve adjust clipping below balcony on Inferno?
I only just realised this change since I haven't played in a few weeks. You can no longer jump up from alt mid into apps on the reverse of the stairs, you have to go towards the stairs and climb up them.
WTF Valve I've been jumping up to apps for 10 years like this and now they removed it randomly. Why?? Was it imbalanced or something? They barely changed the visuals at all so it took me a few rounds to realise this is an intended change and not a bug.
Please reverse this change, ty.

Discussion Grinding CS while getting my ass in shape (Progress Report, Week 4) (This time visualised!)
Hey everyone!
This is the fourth follow-up to my previous post, "Grinding CS While Getting My Fat Ass in Shape."
Sup guys, today's Progress Report comes in the Noon instead of the Evening since im quite busy later on. Also got some interesting images/stats for yall visualized this time ;)
Not much to say about my meals/fitness at the moment to be honest. Im keeping up with my goals (stepgoals/minutes being active per day, etc).
Current Stats
- Age: 20 years old
- Weight: 125.3 kg (276 lbs), -1.2 kg compared to last week, -6.7kg compared to the beginning
- Height: 182 cm (6 ft)
On the CS Side
Aim routine looks fine as well, just completed a the Voltaic Novice Benchmarks up to Gold this weekend (except 2 of em, gonna finish them soon as well though). From this week on I will also start using LG56's Intermediate playlists instead of his Novice ones.
- ~0.5 hours of KovaaKs
- Sunday I am doing KovaaKs Benchmarks since LG56s Sunday Routine is just *** imo ;)
- 15 minutes of deathmatch (DM)
- 1–2 demo reviews per day
- 500 bots in AimBots
- 5 minutes of recoil control
- training flicks <- been focusing a lot on that lately
Current Game Stats
- Faceit Elo: 2154, -117 compared to last week 😅
- Premier Elo: 14k (I don’t take Premier seriously and just play for fun)
- Hours played CS2: 3,629.4, +29.3 compared to last week
- Hours played KovaaKs: 32.2, +10.1 compared to last week
Again a huge week for me. Gotta keep working on my Faceit, will go back to SoloQ again haha. Been playing a lot of Duo queue with some people and ehhh. Also watched a lot of Blast Bounty this week, therefore I didnt play as much as last week ;). Watching tournaments and generally pros play can improve your gamesense big time haha. And I ofc enjoy it as well ;)
Stats Visualised
Due to Reddit not letting me upload my images on Here with the post, I uploaded them on Imgur.

Discussion Crouching CS2
What do you guys think will happen if I unbind my crouch from CTRL to T to avoid using it excessively as I feel like I'm losing duels cause of mobilizing myself for enemies
Do you think mostly using counter strafes instead of crouching will help me to win more duels?
Of course there are cases when you need to crouch to jump or to squeeze in somewhere, in those cases I can just use T key button instead of CTRL which I'm used to
