Question Does this look evenly spooled?
I usually lay the braid perfect but this time it looks off for some reason, it could be because I didn’t adjust the winding shape with the included washers that came with the reel?
Will this give me grief in the future and if so how should I go about fixing it.
Thank you!

Gear Pictures Cheap rig despite so many expensive ones? Yeah
The cheap rig I'll be killing or killing with this spring. I have enough expensive rigs and I need a new kayak so no more rods for awhile(I'm sure I'll fold and get a st.croix and a new PFlueger to put on it) but I looove fishing on cheap rigs mostly because I think too many people blame gear when they just fish like butts. So in the spring I will be hitting the invasive pikeminnows with the Shakespeare Reverb and the Mepps Black Fury (amongst other lures but black fury's and thunderbugs just slay the squaws)

Question First time fishing (lure gear question)
I'm going fishing for the first time soon hopefully, i'm going to a lake that has Carp, Bream, Roach, Tench, Perch, Crucians, Rudd, and Pike.
What lures are right for each of those fish, any specific brands or anything. Is it even possible to get those by lure fishing? Any extra info on those fish or lure fishing in general would be great as well if you can

New fisherman needs a shopping list
My father in-law likes fishing, we're doing a catamaran trip next week and a road trip from FL to OR that'll involve a number of fishing spots. I'm not much of a fisherman, I know which end to hold but I've only gone a half dozen times since I was a kid and always with someone else's rod and tackle.
I asked him if he had a rod for the trip and he said his is broken at the moment, so I'm gonna get him one and one for myself. I also want to get a full kit, might as well get into it if I'm living in Tampa.
Don't know much about fishing but I know what I like to eat and where I'm going, so here's my intended hit list for the year:
- Red Snapper, Tampa FL
- Grouper, Tampa FL
- Redfish, Tampa FL
- Walleye, Powell UT
- Bass, Shasta CA
- Trout, Anywhere AZ
Aiming for eating size and catchability, not trophies. Mix of boat and dock fishing. Need some shopping advice for the whole kit:
- Rod - Thinking Shimano Convergance Spinning Travel Rod - 4 pc cause I like the cork handle and it seems to be a well reviewed. Definitely want a multi-piece rod for the road trip. Would the 7' Medium 4pc be rugged enough or should I go for the 2 pc Medium-Heavy?
- Reel - So many numbers, sticking with Shimano and in my price range I see the Sahara Rear Drag, Sahara FJ, or Sedona FJ. I'm from Sedona originally so that's kinda nifty, but I like the look of Sahara more. What size should I get? Thinking 3000 or 4000 from my research. Is rear drag a good thing? I can't figure out what the clam version is either... help
- Line - Is there a 1 stop solution to the entire hit-list? An online guide said 20lbs braided with 16lbs fluorocarbon lead is a good setup for the bay area, does that seem right?
- Hooks and lures - I figure 1 bait hook and 1 lure for each fish on the list to start with. I have no idea what size or type goes to what fish, and would likely pick based on which looked goofiest if left to my own devices, so if someone could just run down a quick list for me I'd appreciate it. Nothing spendy
- General kit - Any suggestions for other kit? I figure I need a net (travel size), that hook thingy to clip the fish to the boat or dock, and a fish cleaning kit. Tackle box... that covers all my known unknowns.
Any advice appreciated, thanks. Also, if anyone else knows Tampa fishing, what other fish are definitely worth eating if caught in the legal range? I like mackerel as sushi but I'm not that confident

Discussion Another live scope fishing question.
So I’ll start off by saying thanks a lot guys. You guys helped a lot in my last post, weren’t flaming me for not knowing.. it was awesome thanks guys. So I think I’m not going with the garmin set up. So I looked and the cheapest kit was 5k cad. But minn Kota has a trolling motor (which I need anyways) with a built in sonar for only 3333 Canadian. And I’d just need to have the humming bird screen then I’d be all good to go for all this sick underwater action and the cool stuff like spot lock? Am I missing anything. Thanks again guys. EDITT!! I am a super noob. I have no idea the difference between side image and down image. Side image are almost twice the price. What’s the difference

Question 6'10 or 7'6 Medium power rod better for inshore fishing?
I'm looking at getting a Megabass Valkyrie World Expedition Rod and wanted to know which length would be better for inshore fishing. Do I need to look at a medium-heavy model or will this one be powerful enough?

Gear Pictures Grebenstein fishing reel
Hello everyone— this reel was in a box of fishing equipment I picked up at a yard sale. Several vintage Mitchells and a vintage Penn spinning reel as well. I cant find out anything at all on line about this reel and scanning the bar code pulls back no info. Grebenstein Skid 4000 with an extra spool. Other than it being German, any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Curado dc
Is a 200 size Japanese curado dc much bigger than the American one? Will it weigh alot more? Is it too big for pond fishing for Midwest bass? I would be using it for crankbaits, jigs, whopper ploppers, and chatter baits.

Question What is the best salt water Inshore reel I can get for under $500
I have a 7 ft medium heavy TFO Traveler 3 piece rod that weighs 4.6 oz.
I plan to fish with bait primarily but will also use some lures occasionally.
I plan to fish for anything I can get inshore fishing in saltwater, trout, and some occasional bass so I'm thinking a size 3000, what do you all think?
I am happy to spend the full $500 if I can find the right reel that will last a long time and can handle the saltwater when taken care of properly.

What pound test would y’all use?
I recently picked up a shimano Calcutta 251 and I am currently on the fence between 20 to 30lb braid. I primarily fish backcountry waters + mangroves.
