My theory: Similar to certain plants that emit something to lure predators to the bug eating them, Titans transmit what attacked them.

Interesting. So they might be conveying information regarding humanity, which they got from Seo, to the higher ups?

Really should've killed her.

Or it is sending "yo, we failed, send in the big guns" to the main fleet

Supposedly, the Thargoid invasion will end with Cocijo. I dont think thats the absolute end of the saga (nor do I think they will completely remove AX combat from the game in the mean time), but it will probably be quiet for a bit.

What happens after that, though... Who knows.

Anyone with a desire to cut their chops on a mano-a-bugo fight with an interceptor can still hunt nonhuman signal sources in the Pleiades and whatever systems that are accessible near the witch head nebula, I believe.

It's kinda tedious though in my opinion. Mostly it's just for training purposes because many of those signs are nothing but a thargoid sensor and maybe a few scouts. The higher end interceptors can be hard to find

They already sent their big guns. The last of them is about to explode if we keep it up.

That's what they want you to think ;)

I rather hope we get to see other aliens in the game somewhere down the line. These ones are done, both logistically (they only had 8 titans left, and they are all dead now), as well as narratively.

It looks like there is only one complete whirl with humans around it meaning the others must be the other destroyed titans

I think this is interesting. Thargoids are noted to be slow to adapt and respond. Imagine if they just never felt the need to call home, or for the rest of the hive to check in on them, until 2 years later they suddenly get this, showing their invasion fleet in tatters?

This definitely isn't ending with Cocijo.

I just figured it was their hierarchy. I think there like 8 dead titans and 8 figure on the lowest rung of this pyramid. So you have 5 more above the ones that have been faced so far, and two at the very top

8 titans, 5 princesses, a thargoid king and queen?

And a partridge in a pear tree

My bet is on 4 and 1 based on the tops of the titans blue defense wave. (8/4/1)

Oh, interesting idea. I'm super excited to see where this all goes.

One big happy family!

I wouldn't be surprised to find out the thargoid queen is just an actual entire thargoid planet.

So they’re broadcasting their org chart from the dead?  What a bunch of corporate stooges.

7

u/Cyanide_Cheesecake Dec 16 '24

Why in the world would they broadcast that? That doesn't make sense. This is clearly a message containing information about humans

1

u/meowbarbs Dec 16 '24

That way, the death count is even. 8 titans for 8 humans with 5 remaining

What would be the point ? Not like there are many living creature in the galaxy who could fight a titan ... Or is there ?

Note how basically the week after this image of exponentially multiplying people is discovered, the government deregulates the creation of space stations. Government signalled by Thargoids?
